Doctor Who announces “epic” finale plans for fans – here’s everything to know
Doctor Who is returning the big screen for its “epic” two-part finale.
Last year’s successful cinema screening of the final episodes from season 14 has led to confirmation that the final episodes of season 15 will also be shown in cinemas throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In simpler terms, the second-to-last episode titled ‘Wish World’ will air on television a week prior, specifically on the 24th of May. However, it will also be shown in cinemas at 6 PM (British Summer Time) on the 31st of May.

This will be followed by the finale, ‘The Reality War’, which will also air on BBC One on 31 May.
Tickets, which are available to pre-book and buy here, will go on sale at 10am on 1 May.
Natasha Spence, events director at BBC Studios, expressed her joy about collaborating with CinemaLive for a second time. This partnership offers Doctor Who enthusiasts in the United Kingdom and Ireland a chance to gather and enjoy their beloved series on the big screen.
The final episode is shaping up to be a thrilling journey for fans of Doctor Who, and we can’t wait to unveil more of the Doctor and Belinda’s new escapades in cinemas!
John Travers, who oversees acquisitions and distribution for CinemaLive, mentioned: “Building on the success of last year’s midnight cinema event, we’re thrilled to collaborate with BBC Studios so that this time around, fans of Doctor Who can enjoy the thrill of watching the two-part season finale on a big screen.
This month, Ncuti Gatwa’s character as The Doctor made a comeback on screen, introducing a fresh travel companion named Belinda Chandra, or Varada Sethu, to audiences once more, immersing them in an exciting odyssey across time and dimensions.
In this upcoming episode of our popular science fiction series, entitled ‘Lucky Day’, we’ll see the character played by Millie Gibson, known as Ruby Sunday, make her comeback. This will be her first appearance since the 2024 Christmas special titled ‘Joy to the World’.
In the upcoming episode, we find Ruby struggling with life on Earth without the Doctor by her side. However, when a formidable new danger arises, she embarks on a mission to rescue her boyfriend Conrad, portrayed by Jonah Hauer-King from “The Little Mermaid”, from the clutches of the fearsome Shreek.
