Axed Strictly pro Karen Hauer shows off her washboard abs as she says ‘April has felt like a year already’ in post to fans after confirming show exit

Oh my gosh, you guys, Karen Hauer just posted the most amazing picture! Seriously, her abs are incredible – totally washboard! It’s so sad though, because she mentioned how long it’s felt since she left Strictly, like a whole year already! I miss seeing her dance so much, but at least she’s looking amazing and staying strong. I’m obsessed!

The 43-year-old professional dancer was let go from the show by BBC executives as part of a significant cast change.

Before her shock sacking, Karen was Strictly’s longest-serving female dancer ever.

Karen recently shared some photos with her fans, showing what she’s been doing since the news broke a few weeks ago.

She looked incredible in her lycra as she flashed her washboard abs after a workout at her home.

I’m a big fan of Karen’s style! She really knows how to rock a look. Just recently, she posted a pic of herself working out in this adorable red sports bra and turquoise shorts – so cute! Then, in another photo, she completely changed it up, looking absolutely gorgeous in a stunning velvet dress draped over her shoulder. It’s amazing how versatile she is!

She also shared a series of photos including pictures of her dogs, glamorous photoshoots, and dates with her boyfriend, Simon Davidson.

She subtly revealed the sadness and pressure she’s been feeling since leaving Strictly Come Dancing, writing in a recent post: ‘Just 5 days until my birthday, but April has felt incredibly long.’

Fans showered Karen with praise, with one person calling her a fantastic role model and another simply admiring her dress, writing ‘Wow, Karen, that dress!’

‘You look beautiful as always and 11 days until my birthday. Both of us in April’; ‘Body on fire’.

A Venezuelan-American dancer was one of the professional dancers let go from the show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as part of a lineup change.

In a heartfelt video, Karen announced she was leaving the show after many years.

Remembering her journey, she started to cry with pride, thinking about how far she’d come – a young girl from the Bronx who became the show’s longest-running female performer.

Oh my gosh, I’m still reeling! Karen just announced she’s leaving Strictly after fourteen years! She said it was a hard decision, but she feels it’s time to move on and explore other things she loves. I’m so sad to see her go, she was a total icon on the show, but I’m also excited for her and whatever amazing things she does next! It feels like the end of an era, honestly. I’m going to miss her so much!

Strictly has completely transformed my life, impacting me not just as a performer and teacher, but as a person. I’ve been lucky enough to meet amazing people and talented celebrity partners who I now consider close friends and greatly admire.

I couldn’t have done any of this without the incredible support of my fans. From the very beginning, when I first arrived in the UK and was completely new to everything, you’ve been with me. I’m so thankful for your support as I’ve grown and changed over the years – even through all my different hairstyles!

I’ll really miss everyone who works so hard to put the show together – the hair and makeup artists, wardrobe team, the crew, lighting and staging staff, even the runners, the band, singers, producers, and the amazing welfare team who look after us all. It takes a lot of brilliant people to make this show run smoothly, and it truly feels like an incredible operation.

To all my wonderful dance colleagues, I’m sending you my love and support. You’re the very best at what you do! I’ll always cherish my time joining the show 14 years ago, learning from the incredible Bruce Forsyth and Len Goodman – they were true legends.

‘And to the brilliant Tess and Claudia, maybe now we can finally be ladies who lunch in the autumn.

I’ll surprisingly even miss being in front of the judges! It’s hard to believe I’ll miss smiling and being polite, even when I didn’t always agree with them. It truly has been an honor to share the dance floor with them.

Finally, I want to thank my friends and family for everything. I love you all, and this isn’t a farewell – it’s just a see you later! I’ll never stop dancing.

It’s incredible to think that a girl from the Bronx would go on to become the longest-serving female professional dancer on such a beloved British show! I’ll always cherish my time on Strictly, and I’m sending my love to everyone.

Karen, Gorka Márquez, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk, and Michelle Tsiakkas are also departing the show’s dance team.

Michelle unexpectedly left the Strictly Professionals tour just before it was set to begin in April.

Except for Karen, none of the other dancers leaving the show have yet to speak on the news.
