Chris Hughes addressed the criticism about his friendship with JoJo Siwa, who is younger than him, being described as “inappropriate,” by defending their relationship.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my fascination over the intriguing connection between the 32-year-old Love Islander and the 21-year-old Dance Moms star within the Celebrity Big Brother abode. Their bond has certainly sparked a flurry of curiosity!

Following their exit from the ITV reality show, the duo spent their weekend indulging in “Sunday relaxation sessions” and leisurely strolls in the park. This happened after JoJo ended things with his partner Kath Ebbs, who is 28 years old, during the CBB wrap party.

Besides Chris, dancer JoJo had fun playing tennis too. Later on, she shared some pictures from their outing on her Instagram account.

Nevertheless, the pair have faced criticism regarding their friendship. One critic even remarked: “Wow, this seems inappropriate.”

The two friends have received criticism for their relationship, as evidenced by one comment that stated: ‘This certainly feels inappropriate.’

Hitting back, Chris explained: ‘I have friends who are 50+ too, you weirdo.’ 

On Monday, it’s said that JoJo returned to the United States, leaving Chris presumably distraught, as she stepped out in what appears to be his attire. This reportedly occurred mere hours after their initial joint interview following their stint in Celebrity Big Brother.

As a devoted admirer, I can tell you that, just like Chris on the show, I noticed her arriving at the airport dressed in an oversized grey hoodie and a vibrant pink beanie hat – quite a striking sight!

Earlier on This Morning, JoJo admitted that she would be departing from the UK, which was a change from her previous hints suggesting she wanted to remain there.

She sighed sadly and announced, “I depart tonight, but it will only be an hour from now.” To this, Chris responded somberly, “This is tough,” and labeled the situation as “The Heartbreaking Inn.

Previously during the conversation, they clarified that their bond was more like a deep friendship akin to soul mates, ending the prolonged assumption about their relationship.

He mentioned: “Our connection is quite indescribable. It’s more than just close; it’s an incredibly powerful tie. I believe such a bond can be described as a soul mate friendship. I think it truly exists.

Ben Shephard inquired if there was anything else she desired, and JoJo replied, “He’s an amazing individual, our relationship is purely friendly. We enjoy each other’s company immensely. As for what lies ahead, I can’t predict the future; life will unfold as it will.

JoJo additionally shared insights about her separation from ex-partner Kath, explaining: “Truthfully, the first day inside the house was enjoyable, the second day too, but by the third day, I found myself lost in my own reflections, disconnected from familiar faces and external judgments.

Reflecting on my own, I discovered aspects of my life that I had accepted which perhaps I shouldn’t have. There were so many instances.

It was clear that I preferred to keep my feelings hidden rather than expressing them openly. There were certain aspects that troubled me deeply, and I couldn’t say I was content with the situation.

‘I knew as soon as I got out I wanted to fix things and make the changes I needed to make.

‘The first thing you want to do is exactly what you need to make it as good as you can.’

At the finale of the event, she clarified, “To tell you the truth, it hadn’t been our plan or my intention. It just didn’t go as we had expected.

Initially, they didn’t plan to show up, but an hour into the gathering, they unexpectedly arrived. As events unfolded, we started talking, and they inquired about my well-being. I responded honestly, expressing my unhappiness. This conversation transpired during the party itself.

Upon arriving in Los Angeles, JoJo appeared cheerful, smiling brightly next to her mother as they navigated their luggage on wheels. She donned a playful pink beanie hat and sunglasses during this moment.

Although the singer kept a constant grin during her airport journey, JoJo admitted that she wept upon returning home, reflecting on the ‘wonderful’ time she had on the ITV reality program.

The popular figure posted a heartfelt note on Instagram along with a collection of her most memorable moments from the Big Brother house, expressed with strong emotions.

She started by expressing her feelings: “Today’s quite emotional for me, having returned to Los Angeles, bidding farewell to the United Kingdom, and parting from one of the most cherished experiences of my life.

For the past twenty days, I’ve experienced some incredibly intense peaks and troughs, and it’s almost unbelievable that these ups and downs have been in full view. Yet, there’s something truly captivating about it all.

In her Instagram post, she expressed her heartfelt thanks for the affection and encouragement that came her way during my stay inside the house.

Experiencing such fragility and uncertainty about the world’s reactions was genuinely terrifying, but stepping outside to witness an overwhelming display of affection and encouragement from people during my confinement left me speechless – it was like a whirlwind and brought on tears of pure joy.

‘It makes me very emotional and just means so much. Thank you❤️’

She commented: “I’ve discovered a great deal about myself during my time in the Big Brother House, and I wouldn’t alter anything about this experience. If only I could revisit the past and relive this journey all over again.

In a heartfelt note, she wrote to her quirky yet harmonious household members: ‘To my unconventional yet functioning family, from within our shared abode… Wow, how much I cherish each of you.’

Or more casually:
‘I penned a shout-out to my not-so-normal but still awesome housemates: ‘Hey family (even though we don’t act normal!), love from the casa…’

I’m deeply grateful for welcoming me into your family, for the delicious meals shared, the enriching conversations, the laughter, the dances, the embraces, the tears, and every little thing in between.

I’m incredibly grateful that it’s only you who make up this unique experience. Now, I’m overjoyed knowing I can share my life with you forever.

A special acknowledgement goes to Christopher, Jack, Donna, Chesatron, and Danny… these delightful companions who made it to the finals with me. I’ve grown particularly fond of each one of you, and I’ll truly miss our camaraderie deeply.

I long to experience each of these again just once more: Donna’s stern “Stop it”, a tune by Jack the Rat, a warm embrace from chesatron, a melody from Danny, and Chris’ delightful “mmm” sound.
