The Kai Cenat Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 USD
The school has been rebuilt, with another one on its way! Nigerian students stand to gain from the substantial investment made by the Kai Cenat Foundation.
Approximately a year back, Kai Cenat shared a sequence of videos detailing his journey through Africa, which sparked the concept of establishing a foundation aimed at gathering funds for constructing a school in Nigeria. Following some tourism and content creation for his stream, Kai decided to lend aid to a small town he wished to assist. Inquiring about their requirements, he found that the only immediate help he could offer was providing them with cash.
As a passionate enthusiast, I found myself yearning for something beyond the ordinary. One day, I chanced upon a school nestled over a serene river, much like my hometown. A young, dedicated teacher shared with me their predicament: “This building is in dire need of repair; we’re seeking help to rebuild it and fortify its foundation.” The sight of their struggle struck a chord within me, and I realized that this could be the next chapter in my journey – helping them bring stability and hope back into their community.
The streamer commented that the classroom he attended was five times larger than the current space, which he shared in his YouTube video titled “My First Day Living In Africa! (Nigeria)”. Following his exploration of the school, he expressed this sentiment: “The next time I return here, I hope for a completely transformed experience.
How Much Progress Has the Kai Cenat Foundation’s School in Nigeria Made?
On April 27th, Kai Cenat unveiled some updates regarding a school-funding initiative in Nigeria. Officially, he launched the Kai Cenat Foundation. Notably, he highlighted that the project is already a million dollars deep.
Earlier, Kai Cenat pledged that he would allocate 20% of his Mafiathon 2 winnings towards rebuilding a school in Makoko. True to his word, this donation was made. It’s worth noting that this amount is separate from the Foundation’s earnings, making the overall sum raised even more noteworthy.
The school’s land has already been chosen, and we plan to finalize the purchase within this month. Additionally, the streamer shared with his audience that negotiations are ongoing with potential collaborators such as Google and Amazon.
Why is the Project taking so long?
As a gamer speaking, I’d rephrase it like this: “Hey there, I’m Kai Cenat, and let me share a tough tale with you all. A storm wreaked havoc on our Kai Cenat Foundation’s project in Makoko. Unfortunately, the school we were building was right above the river, so when that storm hit, everything we’d worked so hard to achieve was swept away.
Luckily, he additionally displayed images of the recently renovated school. Now, it boasts two stories and numerous enhancements designed to benefit both pupils and faculty members.
