Big Brother Star’s $25M Property Empire Grows with Byron Bay Buy
Former “Big Brother” contestant Krystal Hipwell, previously known as Krystal Forscutt, remains on the path of expansion for her already impressive property business.
In the 2006 version of the Channel Ten reality show, a 38-year-old woman appeared alongside her mother, Karen.
She has since stepped away from the camera and has established herself as a property mogul.
Together with her real estate entrepreneur spouse Neil, Krystal manages Bunker Escapes – a thriving company specializing in luxury home construction – and they proudly own a real estate portfolio valued at approximately $25 million.
Krystal and Neil recently purchased a rural block on the outskirts of Bryon Bay.
In the quaint town of Ewingsdale, a piece of land spanning approximately 4093 square meters cost the couple a million dollars, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.
Located just a short, five-minute trip away from Byron Bay, this property boasts a border rich with mature trees and teeming with diverse wildlife on its eastern side.
Previously, the real estate belonged to Cornell Holdings, an investment firm based in Byron Bay, co-owned by the actress Delvene Delaney and her late spouse, John ‘Strop’ Cornell.
Following their recent acquisition of a large tract of land in Byron Bay and construction of two contemporary luxury homes there, these properties are now open for reservation.
The accommodation named “Banks at Byron” sits at the property’s entrance and can comfortably accommodate as many as 18 guests. A two-night stay here will set you back $6,000.
Simultaneously, Bunker Byron resides at the rear section of the property and accommodates up to 14 visitors. A three-night stay typically costs approximately $8,000.
Luxury coastal properties are available either as a single, large booking for a big gathering, or individually, offering visitors an opulent view of the Byron Bay coastline.
Although Bank sports the usual beach-house style décor with its white and tanned accents, Bunker offers an unexpectedly industrial aesthetic instead.
Back in 2021, I embarked on a significant home renovation project alongside my spouse, just like the one we’re currently facing. You might recall that we were the ones who brought Bunker House to life in Gerrigong, NSW.

Originally constructed on a land purchased for $1.7 million as their ideal residence, this grand multiple-level property has since been transformed into an upscale vacation rental, comfortably hosting 16 guests.
A minimum three-night stay in this swanky abode costs around $3,500 per night.
Apart from their existing property, Krystal and Neil additionally possess a vacation-like lodge situated near the outskirts of the Perisher Valley ski village, specifically in Crackenback, within the New South Wales Alps.
In the year 2021, my partners and I proudly constructed our masterpiece, which we fondly named “Jimmy Doo.” This magnificent structure is designed to comfortably host a total of 22 adults and eight children, making it an ideal space for gatherings or extended family visits.
The luxe ski lodge costs around $8,000 for a minimum three-night stay.
In the year 2006, Krystal gained widespread recognition. This happened when she appeared on the reality show Big Brother, sharing the limelight with her mother Karen, who gave birth to Krystal at the age of 16.
During their stay at the house, Karen was asked to leave after three weeks, whereas Krystal finished in sixth position.
They were known as the glamorous mother-daughter duo who both had breast enlargements.

However in 2021, Krystal had her breast implants removed.
At that moment, she expressed that the surgery symbolized the beginning of a fresh phase in her existence, and she received her enhancements when she was a youthful individual yearning for acceptance.
She mentioned that she has a single remorse regarding the explant operation, specifically that she should have gone through with it earlier.
She shared on social media that she was gradually regaining her usual self, as she had endured severe pain over the last several days. The challenging circumstances of having multiple children at home during lockdown and home-schooling didn’t make things easier for her at this particularly difficult moment.
After her time on Big Brother, Krystal had a short-lived modeling period, featuring in publications like FHM, Zoo, and Ralph magazines.
Beyond her role as a real estate magnate, Krystal is also the mother of three kids – Sunny (aged 10), Nakoda (aged 6), and Huska (aged 5).
