Elden Ring Officially Gets An Expensive New Release On April 30

Fans of Elden Ring have a lot to look forward to! Not only is a new Elden Ring movie in the works from director Alex Garland and A24 Films, but Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is also expected to come out on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.

Excitement for the future of the Elden Ring franchise is growing, especially with reports that filming for a movie has begun and early footage appearing online. Adding to this buzz, pre-orders are now open for Tarnished Edition, which was delayed to improve performance. However, some fans are debating whether the $80 price tag is justified.

Besides the pricey Tarnished Edition, another official Elden Ring release is coming out that’s likely to be expensive. Bandai Namco and FromSoftware plan to launch it on Thursday, April 30th.

Official Elden Ring Release Drops April 30

Fans of Elden Ring can now pre-order a limited-edition Ranni the Witch Sukajan Jacket from Bandai. This collectible jacket, priced around $200, is inspired by classic Japanese streetwear and showcases one of the game’s most popular characters.

Despite its higher price, the Ranni the Witch Sukajan Jacket is a rare collectible, with only 1,000 being made available globally. Each jacket comes in a special collector’s box with a certificate of authenticity. They’re beautifully embroidered and crafted from high-quality materials, featuring custom ribbing, unique arm panels, and a shell made of 90% polyester and 10% spandex with a polyester lining.

Beyond the Ranni the Witch jacket, Bandai has added a bunch of new official Elden Ring merchandise to its online store. You can now find items like Elden Ring skateboards, mouse pads for gaming, cozy hand-woven blankets, and other cool stuff.

It’s A Good Time To Be Tarnished

Fans of Elden Ring were surprised this week when early footage from the upcoming movie appeared online. The footage shows the game’s world, the Lands Between, brought to life with actors, and appears to be a very accurate adaptation of the source material. Before this sneak peek, many players doubted the project, unsure if the complex world and story of the game could be successfully translated to film.

Even though some uncertainties remain, the project seems to be in capable hands with Alex Garland and A24. With the upcoming Tarnished Edition – which FromSoftware has said will add new content for all platforms – it’s an exciting time to be an Elden Ring fan.
