Jake Quickenden Wows Fans in Tight Pink Shorts Before London Marathon

On Sunday, Jake Quickenden generated surprise with a post featuring him donning snug pink running shorts, as he prepared for the upcoming London Marathon.

Over the weekend, the 36-year-old singer participated alongside thousands of other runners and numerous well-known personalities in the yearly 26-mile charity marathon.

Before venturing into the city’s main streets, Jake shared a picture on Instagram showcasing his intended outfit.

Previously known X Factor contestant assumed a pose for the photographer, wearing a gray running jacket and bright salmon-colored spandex cycling shorts that revealed quite a bit.

Fans found themselves questioning the player’s fashion decision, as many commented repeatedly that such shorts might potentially become a source of distraction.

They wrote: ‘Good luck, I’m proud of you! If you were sprinting ahead wearing those snug pink shorts…that alone would spur me on to reach that finish line.’

‘Great job finishing the marathon! I’m not certain about the choice of pink attire though, but keep going, Jake, you can do it!’

Or

‘You did well in the marathon! The pink outfit is a bit unexpected, but don’t let that stop you, Jake, keep pushing forward.’

‘Best of luck!!! You were easier to spot in a bone costume’

‘Good luck, enjoy (is that the right word) lol And I’m not going to mention the shorts!’

‘Once you see it you can’t unsee it’

‘Good Luck! You need some tighter shorts ‘

‘Good luck Jake. P.s I think those shorts might provide a distraction today.’

As I embark on the London Marathon, I’m reminding myself of my ‘WHY’. When the going gets tough, remember what drives you. For me, it’s about pushing beyond limits, fundraising for a cause close to my heart, and stepping out of my comfort zone. It’s not just about the time, but the personal growth and impact we can make. Wishing everyone luck on this incredible journey!

Jake managed to finish the marathon in just three hours and 33 minutes, yet tearfully acknowledged that he found himself alone at the end, as nobody was there to welcome him.

Next to a photo of him posing with his model, Jake wrote: ‘I did it… 3.33 official marathon time. It was emotional for me; I cried since there was no one to welcome me at the finish line. Although I knew Sophie couldn’t come with the kids, she said she would but I told her not to, and now I wish she had. Ha-ha, oh well.’

‘I secretly aimed for a 3:30 finish time, but fell short by only 3 minutes. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. To those who completed today’s marathon, bravo! It was sweltering and uncomfortable, yet I enjoyed every single second of it… I managed to raise almost £2k for @sarcoma_uk and this running journey might continue.’

‘I tried to finish the marathon in 3 hours and 30 minutes but missed it by just a few minutes. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but I still applaud those who completed the race today. It was hot and tough, but I had a great time… I raised nearly £2k for sarcoma_uk and may continue this running journey.’

Feeling incredibly grateful, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who called out my name and offered words of support. It truly boosted my spirits. A big shout-out to my running buddy @caseyogorman – you’re awesome, mate! And a special thanks to @coopahruncoach for the guidance with my training. You’ve been a tremendous help!

A host of stars ran the London Marathon on Sunday – with many achieving incredible times.

In a remarkable display, Spencer Matthews emerged victorious among the celebrities, demonstrating exceptional effort with a breathtaking time of three hours and six minutes.

In the race, Harry Judd from McFly finished just behind the first place with a time of 3 hours and 15 minutes, while Jake managed an impressive 3 hours and 33 minutes.
