Long-running Sky panel show A League of Their own is ending after 15 years, TopMob can confirm.
Today, it was announced by the broadcaster that the well-liked sports comedy show will air its last season in August after concluding its run.
In 2021, Romesh Ranganathan replaced James Corden as the show’s host. The teams are captained by Jamie Redknapp and Jill Scott, with Micah Richards regularly joining in to help out Jill Scott.
Jamie Redknapp, who is now 51 years old, has consistently appeared on the program since its debut in 2010, with Freddie Flintoff, currently aged 47, serving as the opposing team’s captain during that time.
The show helped the Ashes hero launch his media career before he was replaced by Jill in 2023.
Over the past 15 years, Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bishop, Mo Gilligan, and former Sky Sports News host Georgie Thompson have frequently appeared as recurring guests on the program.
TopMob has figured out that the series they’re following is due to conclude this summer with a special ‘goodbye season’. This special event will be broadcast on Sky Max and NOW towards the end of the year.
In this episode, the host, Romesh, along with team captains Jamie and Jill, as well as the regular cast member Micah, will be present for the grand finale.
Distinguished figures from sports and showbiz world have made an appearance on this series, with some going as far as performing the studio’s thrilling stunts.
The program has produced various offshoots, such as travel shows across America and Asia, where Jamie and other celebrities embark on outrageous journeys.
