In the second season, we’ll delve deeper into the Addams Family’s peculiar traits, yet one member continues to puzzle us. Following its groundbreaking debut on Netflix in 2022, the series Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, is set for a comeback in 2025. Excitement among fans is mounting as they eagerly anticipate Ortega’s return to Nevermore to cause more chaos and mischief. However, this season will be unique because Wednesday isn’t coming back by herself; her younger brother Pugsley will be joining her, making it more of a family-focused storyline.

Indeed, the trailer for this season showcases various other members of the Addams Family joining Wednesday, offering a peek into their peculiar and enigmatic abilities. This first season unveiled Wednesday as a psychic, capable of conversing with the deceased, foreseeing past events, and manipulating things using merely her thoughts. It also seems that Pugsley may have the power to control and utilize electricity. However, not all the Addams Family’s abilities have been disclosed yet.

Wednesday Season 2 Needs To Reveal What Gomez’s Powers Are

From a movie buff’s perspective, it seems the Addams clan possess unique abilities, and more often than not, these talents seem to be inherited genetically. For instance, my theory is that Wednesday’s psychic abilities are a gift she received from her mother, who also shares this ability of having visions. Similarly, Pugsley, my dear nephew Fester’s counterpart, appears to have the same electrical conductivity and discharge capabilities as his uncle. However, thus far in our stories, Gomez, Wednesday’s father, has yet to exhibit any distinct powers that we’ve seen so far.

There’s a chance that he might possess electric powers similar to Fester, Pugsley, and other family members in the series, but so far, the show has given no indication of this. However, being a student at Nevermore Academy hints at some supernatural abilities within him, as does living in a world teeming with monsters and enigmatic beings. It’s plausible that his powers will be revealed during a significant moment in season 2 to make the reveal more impactful. Yet, it seems unusual for the family patriarch not to have any special gifts when everyone else does.

In a fresh twist for the Addams Family, their supernatural abilities are now featured in the Netflix series. It seems that these powers draw inspiration from earlier portrayals. For example, Uncle Fester, who often played with electricity in past presentations, now possesses the ability to create electricity in the show titled Wednesday.

Gomez is frequently portrayed as an exceptional swordsman with almost supernatural reflexes, hints of which were dropped in season 1 of “Wednesday.” During Wednesday’s vision of her parents at Nevermore during their school days, she noticed Gomez brandishing a sword. This may imply that he possesses some extraordinary ability as a swordsman and duelist, though this is yet to be fully explored. Nonetheless, it seems probable that season 2 of “Wednesday” will delve further into the supernatural abilities of the other Addams Family members to enrich their characters and explain why they belong to the outcast group.
