A historic day for Brazil: MIBR has qualified for the VALORANT Masters Toronto
MIBR has become the initial Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) America’s team to secure a spot for the VALORANT Masters Toronto in June, making it their inaugural appearance at a Masters competition.
On April 26th, MIBR achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying for their inaugural VALORANT Masters event. By defeating KRÜ Esports in the VCT Americas 2025: Stage 1, they managed to secure a place at Masters Toronto, an occasion that signifies both pride and history for Brazilian esports.
MIBR qualified for the Masters Toronto
This year in VCT Americas, MIBR has been putting on exceptional performances. Despite falling short of qualifying for Masters Bangkok after a tough defeat against Sentinels, they regrouped and showed even greater strength with Andrew “Verno” Maust joining their main roster. On April 26th, MIBR needed only one more victory, which they secured against KRÜ Esports, to advance to the VALORANT Masters Toronto Play-In stage. They clinched the series with a 2-0 win over the Argentinian team.
MIBR clinched two convincing wins, the first being against KRÜ Esports on Lotus where they triumphed 13-8, with aspas leading the charge with 20 kills. The second victory was even more impressive as they closed out Icebox at 13-5, with artzin securing an impressive 19 kills. With these victories, MIBR has now qualified for their inaugural VALORANT Masters Toronto event.
Brazil’s representation in VALORANT
Over the past few years, it’s been LOUD representing Brazil in global tournaments. Their last international appearance was at the Masters event held in Madrid in 2024, where they successfully qualified but were unfortunately knocked out early. Since then, the team has encountered numerous obstacles. This current year has been particularly tough for them as they missed the cut for the VCT Americas Playoffs, a major disappointment for their organization.
In the year 2022, Brazil claimed their latest international championship by outplaying OpTic Gaming 3-1 in the VALORANT Champions final held in Istanbul, Turkey. The victorious team consisted of players like Aspas, Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro (now with Karmine Corp), Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi (who later retired), Bryan “pANcada” Luna (part of LOUD today), and Felipe “Less” Basso (currently playing for Team Heretics).
With MIBR now in contention for another championship at the VALORANT Masters Toronto, the question remains: Can they claim yet another title? Time will tell as the tournament kicks off on June 7 and concludes on June 22 in Toronto, Canada.
