Megan Markle joins new season of MasterChef Australia and fans are positively ‘There goes your credibility right down the drain!’

Meghan Markle is set to appear as a guest on the latest season of MasterChef Australia, but many fans of the show are disappointed by the announcement.

On Wednesday evening, Channel 10 revealed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, beaming with judges Jean-Christophe Novelli, Poh Ling Yeow, and Sofia Levin.

‘We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen,’ the caption began.

This season, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will make a guest appearance as she returns to Australia for the first time since 2018.

MasterChef Australia also shared footage of the moment Poh introduces Megan to this year’s cast. 

It didn’t take long for MasterChef fans to turn up their nose and share their displeasure.

One upset fan warned that the show was becoming a joke internationally, and that this would ruin its reputation.

One person said the show lost their interest even before the season began, and another simply stated they weren’t interested.

And there was plenty more where that came from.

“You’ve got to be kidding!” exclaimed one fan, while another wondered why MasterChef had invited them in the first place.

Honestly, it just breaks my heart seeing what’s happening with Australia. It feels like things are just constantly getting harder for everyone there. And it’s infuriating! We’re shelling out so much money to support it, while I keep hearing about families struggling to even put food on the table. It’s just… it’s not right, you know?
