Tom Cruise risked an awkward run-in with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman on Tuesday.

Tom Cruise, 63, known for his role in Top Gun, and Nicole Kidman, 58, famous for Moulin Rouge, were both present at the CinemaCon 2026 convention in Las Vegas, held at The Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

It was a striking coincidence that both Cruise and Kidman wore all black – he in a suit, and she in a stylish silk dress.

The Australian actress, who is 5’11”, recently joked she could wear heels again after her divorce from the 5’7″ actor. She completed her outfit with black pumps, adding to her already considerable height.

Kidman wore her blonde tresses parted in the middle and cascading down in delicate waves.

The couple, who were married from 1990 to 2001 and share two adopted children, both appeared on stage at the event to talk about their new work, but did so separately.

Tom Cruise teamed up with Alejandro G. Inarritu, the director of The Revenant, to preview their upcoming dark comedy, Digger.

In the movie, he portrays Digger Rockwell, a wealthy oil tycoon whose actions unintentionally cause a major environmental disaster.

Tom Cruise has been married three times. Before Nicole Kidman, he was married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990. He later married Katie Holmes, known from Dawson’s Creek, from 2006 to 2012, and they have a daughter, Suri, who is now 19.
