Indiana Jones series finds new UK streaming home following Disney+ removal

The initial four Indiana Jones films have secured a fresh streaming platform in the UK and Ireland, following their removal from Disney+.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that starting from today, the Steven Spielberg-directed adventures – including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – have made their way onto Netflix in the UK and Ireland!

The initial four adventures of the character played by Harrison Ford, who is known for his fedora and whip, are accessible on Prime Video and NOW/Sky, a fact that has been true for some time. However, the decision to take them off Disney+ in December left fans puzzled.

Although Lucasfilm produced and holds ownership of these movies, it’s actually Paramount Pictures that possesses the rights to distribute them, following their acquisition by Disney in 2012.

As a dedicated gamer, I gotta mention that the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones film, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” is purely a Disney production. That means it’s gonna stay put on Disney+, making a Netflix appearance less likely.

The Dial of Destiny released to mixed reviews and was a box-office bomb despite its large budget.

Ford recently commented on the poor performance at the box office, saying: “Things don’t always go as planned. I truly believed that there was another tale to share.

He commented: “After [Indy] faced the repercussions of the path he was on, I yearned for a second opportunity to brush off the dirt from his backside, send him back out there with less of his vitality, and observe the outcome.

“I’m still happy I made that movie.”

The adventure film “Indiana Jones: The Dial of Fate” can be streamed now on Disney+, while the other titles in the series are accessible on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and NOW/Sky.
