After a report emerged last month hinting at a potential live-action movie adaptation of Split Fiction, it seems that the project is moving forward and actress Sydney Sweeney has been cast for the lead role.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement knowing that not only is Sweeney set to star in the upcoming movie, but also, the talented director Jon M. Chu will be at the helm! Moreover, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the brilliant minds behind “Deadpool” and “Wolverine,” are tasked with writing the script for this film. As of now, it remains undecided whether Sweeney will portray Mio or Zoe in the movie.
The film “Adap” will additionally be created by Story Kitchen (formerly dj2 Entertainment), led by Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson, as well as Chu’s Electric Somewhere. Sweeney is also involved as executive producer, and it’s rumored that she’s producing the movie “Out Run,” which Michael Bay is directing.
In March, the game titled Split Fiction was launched and quickly garnered attention with excellent review scores and remarkable sales figures. It managed to sell over a million copies in merely two days!
