Remedy has unveiled that their upcoming cooperative PvE first-person shooter, Firebreak (also known as FBC), which serves as a spin-off from Control, will be released in June. Additionally, this game will be accessible through Xbox Game Pass immediately upon its launch.
In this fresh update, you’ll get another glimpse of the game with a focus on a new mission titled ‘Hot Fix’, along with additional content featuring our sticky friend, Sticky Ricky, from the job known as ‘Paper Chase’.
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled about Firebreak’s innovative system, the ‘Requisitions’. This feature gifts me new gear and customization options as I dive deeper into the gameplay. From weapons and equipment to armor, sprays, and beyond, my inventory is consistently growing without any restrictions. The best part? All these goodies are unlocked using in-game currency that I earn naturally, just by playing. No stress about limited-time windows or store rotations – it’s all accessible whenever I’m ready to gear up!
Classified Requisitions provide high-end cosmetics for your gaming character, such as armor sets, unique voice lines, sprays, and weapon skins that can be bought using real currency. These cosmetic features do not affect gameplay performance in any way. After the launch, you’ll receive two free jobs this year, with additional freebies planned for 2026.
In addition to the standard edition of “FBC: Firebreak”, there’s an upgraded version called the Deluxe Edition. This special edition will cost you $49.99/£39.99/€49.99. It comes with some extra goodies, including two high-quality voice packs, a unique Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (consisting of helmet, armor, and gloves), a stylish shotgun skin, a Golden Firebreak Spray, and the ‘Firestarter’ Classified Requisition. This last item offers 36 unlockable items for you to enjoy!
In the future, all additional job roles and playable content for the game Firebreak will be offered at no extra cost. The game, priced at $39.99/£32.99/€39.99, is set to release on 17th June for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It can also be obtained through Xbox Game Pass or the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. Additionally, there will be an option to upgrade to a Deluxe Edition for an additional $10.00/£7.00/€10.00.
