Kelly Jones Reveals Wild Wedding Moment with Ronnie Wood and More
Kelly Jones, the lead singer of Stereophonics, has looked back on his remarkable 33-year career and shared stories from his wedding day when an unexpected celebrity made a memorable appearance. He humorously referred to this well-known figure as someone “absolutely ridiculous.
Preparing for the launch of their 13th studio album titled “Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait,” Kelly and his band have expressed that the journey has been quite an adventure.
He shared stories about the fantastic shows he had been a part of before, and also disclosed that Ronnie Wood was the one who played at his wedding.
As a star-struck fanatic, I couldn’t help but share this incredible experience: “I’ve been blessed to embark on the concert trails of my heroes. Incredulously, we were part of David Bowie’s final tour, an unforgettable moment that still leaves me in awe. The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 – they all welcomed us into their musical universe. There’s no greater privilege than that!
And having Ronnie Wood in my wedding band is simply unbelievable! Those moments are priceless to me, as I never imagined I could achieve something like this.
It’s unclear which wedding ceremony Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones attended, but it is known that Kelly, his partner, has been married twice. Firstly, she was married to graphic designer Rebecca Walters in 2003 and they had two children together before their separation in 2007.

In 2013, he remarried journalist Jakki Healy, and together they share two kids.
2027’s August marks the 30-year milestone since Stereophonics released their first album “Word Gets Around”, yet Kelly has made it clear that he won’t be commemorating this event.
He stated, “It’s uncertain if we’ll give much importance to it. It appears that every couple of years, there’s a celebration for some record or other. Over the years, my aim has been progress rather than regression. I take great pride in what Word Gets Around represents.
I’m incredibly thankful for the fact that I still compose music, having produced a total of 13 albums with approximately 180 tunes to select from each evening.
Speaking about the upcoming album, Kelly mentioned that fans will find some songs that are inspiring, powerful, and full of positive vibes.
Later, it was mentioned that Kelly had previously shared an anecdote about a surprising encounter where his neighbor stumbled upon renowned singer Sir Tom Jones in their shared kitchen.
Ever since ’97, I’ve been lucky enough to call the legendary Sir Tom Jones my friend, a fellow Welshman whose talent is only surpassed by his kindness. After one of our shared TV appearances, I was thrilled to invite him over for a casual get-together at my place, where we enjoyed some refreshing beverages and reminisced about our shared journey in the music world.
While at Kelly’s apartment during his visit, Sir Tom spontaneously played some of his most popular songs in the kitchen for his friends.

Yet, knocking at the door was one of Kelly’s neighbors, demanding they lower the volume of their ‘Tom Jones’ music. Shock set in when this person realized that the celebrity himself, Tom Jones, stood in the kitchen.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2, Kelly mentioned an occasion when the late Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable visited his apartment following a Jools Holland show. They had a drink at home, and the conversation continued for some time.
Above, that man descended, and we were humming tunes and such. Then, he rapped on our door and mentioned, “I’ve got an extremely early engagement tomorrow. Could you please lower the volume of those Tom Jones tracks a bit?
Then, Stuart arrives at the door and says, “What seems to be the issue around here, buddy?”, followed by, “I must say, I need to catch some z’s for the morning. Could you please lower the volume on those Tom Jones tunes?
We replied, ‘We aren’t playing any Tom Jones songs’, I added, ‘He’s actually singing in my kitchen.’ To which he responded, ‘Oh, really.’
I say, “Take a peek, come on over.” And upon doing so, he spots Tom in the kitchen and responds, “I see, that makes sense.” He then replies, “Good night.
Then, I shut the door, and Tom says, “You see, that’s the issue. When you live in an apartment, someone upstairs is usually chatty.
