Anthony Joshua: From Boxing Champion to Hollywood Star? Offers Pour In, Including Role in Creed 4

Currently, it looks like Anthony Joshua might soon leave his footprint in the world of cinema, considering reports that suggest he’s been offered roles in no less than four major films.

35-year-old, two-time heavyweight boxing world champion, reportedly hasn’t indicated retirement from boxing imminently. However, there are rumors circulating about potential film offers that could lure him into a movie career when the timing seems optimal.

According to reports, Michael B. Jordan, a well-known actor and good friend of Anthony, is among those pushing for the boxer to be cast in the upcoming fourth Creed movie, as he is keen on having him feature in it.

As reported by The Sun, a friend disclosed that AJ remains dedicated to boxing training all the way till his retirement, yet enticing offers from Hollywood are starting to come in.

At present, he’s unable to commit time for additional tasks, but his team is considering various proposals to decide if there’s anything suitable should time align perfectly.

– AK has been offered roles in four significant movies so far, and high-profile acting representatives are eager to represent him. Michael B. Jordan, a close friend of his, is equally excited about AK’s potential appearance in Creed 4 and is ready to pull out all stops to make it happen. The outlook for AK looks extremely promising.

They subtly suggested the possibility that Anthony might have a shot at portraying the next 007, or James Bond.

Additionally, the source revealed to the media outlet that the athlete is being considered for roles beyond his on-field performance. He might be transitioning into executive production, similar to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Already running his own production company, SBX Studios, Anthony has worked on projects for well-known brands like Hugo Boss, Lucozade, Under Armour, and Turkish Airlines. He’s also created content featuring sports stars such as Raheem Sterling and Mo Farah.

It emerged last year that there were plans for his company to produce a biographical film about Luke Littler, submitting a large sum of money as an offer to gain rights to transform the darts legend’s life story into a movie.

Earlier this month, Anthony made it clearer that he’s interested in an acting career when he teamed up with Michael B. Jordan, who is known for his role in Creed, turning 38 soon.

The duo joined forces to astonish budding thespians from Watford by arranging an extraordinary acting workshop, which was orchestrated via Anthony’s local charitable organization, Clean Herts Community (CHC).

Since he is now engaged in training in Nigeria, AJ joined the meeting through Zoom and hinted at an unexpected visitor.

 

In a video posted on his social media, students were observed bursting into shouts and applause upon Michael’s entrance to the room.

Additionally present was Jack O’Connell, another talented actor. They both provided priceless guidance, recounted entertaining anecdotes from the movie business, and aided the budding actors in perfecting their skills.

Later on, the young performers received an invitation to grace the red carpet at the debut screening of Sinners, a new movie by Michael and Jack, which took place in London’s Leicester Square.

The workshop marks a new step in a sequence of actions taken by CHC, designed to offer significant chances for youth in Watford, Anthony’s hometown.

This year, our charity has organized football camps, cooking classes, and science workshops, among other activities. Furthermore, we collaborated with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in November for the unveiling of his Christmas movie, Red One, which included youth from Watford.

In simple terms, the Creed series is a continuation of the iconic Rocky films featuring Sylvester Stallone, where Michael B. Jordan steps into the main character’s shoes.

The first film came out in 2015, and it was subsequently followed by two more movies in 2018 and 2023, which were critically acclaimed and made a fortune at the theater. Now, it has been confirmed that there will be a fourth installment, with Michael set to direct again.

Previously, Anthony openly shared that Rocky is his all-time favorite film during an interview conducted by nine-year-old Josie Bell for the children’s news magazine, The Week Junior.
