Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide – All Attacks, Stats Per Level
Before diving into Jae-Yong’s assaults, let me clarify that he possesses two distinct states – Work Mode and Play Mode, which he transitions between by activating his Super. No matter what state he’s in, his primary attack is called “Work Hard, Play Hard“. In both modes, Jae-Yong launches a penetrative projectile to inflict damage on enemies. However, we will discuss the variations in the attack for each mode later on.
If Jae-Yong is working diligently (Work Mode), he’ll discharge a Briefcase with low impact, yet one that leaves a trail accelerating him and his team members. On the other hand, when Jae-Yong is having fun (Party Mode), his attacks inflict higher damage, and they also restore the health of his allies.
To toggle between the two settings, utilize Jae-Yong’s “Mix it Up!” feature. Keep in mind that based on the present state, the “Super” function has either of two possibilities:
- When Activated in Work Mode: Created a small area around him that increases the movement speed of him and his allies.
- When Activated in Party Mode: Jae-Yong instantly heals himself and allies in his vicinity.
Furthermore, Jae-Yong possesses a trait that lets him charge his Super over time.
The stats below represent Jae-Yong’s stats at launch, which are subject to change:
POWER LEVEL | Health | Damage – Work Mode | Damage – Party Mode | Healing – Party Mode | Super Healing |
1 | 3400 | 750 | 850 | 650 | 750 |

Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?
Jae-Yong has two gadgets at launch:
- Weekend Warrior –“Deals area damage and increases main attack damage for 5 sec.”
- Grim & Frostbitten – “Jae-yong slows enemies around him and his attacks will leave trails of slowing paperwork for 5 sec.”
Additionally, Jae-Yong has two Star Powers which players can unlock:
- The Crowd Goes Wild –“Being near teammates gives Jae-yong a 10% speed boost per teammate in range.”
- Extra High Note –“Main Attacks now deal an additional 20% Damage per target pierced.”
Furthermore, Jae-Yong can use the following gadgets in battle:
- Speed
- Vision
- Health
- Shield
- Damage
- Gadget Cooldown
Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup
Regarding gadgets, our go-to choice is the Weekend Warrior. The area damage and damage boost for five seconds significantly assists Jae-Yong in overcoming opponents. Since he doesn’t deal a heavy amount of damage, any chance to enhance him will surely aid you in defeating enemies. In most cases, Time For A Slow Song might be beneficial if you need to slow down an adversary, but generally, we suggest opting for damage-dealing abilities instead.
As a gamer, I’d suggest opting for the Star Power “Extra High Note” for my character Jae-Yong. This power shines exceptionally in modes like Hot Zone, where you can cluster enemies together. The 20% extra damage it offers is no small feat, making Jae-Yong a force to be reckoned with in combat. While the speed boost from Crowd Goes Wild can be handy, I usually advise against spending too much time huddling close to teammates as it might limit your overall effectiveness.
Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Jae-Yong In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)
Hot Zone
When all foes cluster together, Jae-Yong’s primary strategy proves very effective. Adding Extra High Note significantly boosts the damage potential, making it a worthwhile trade-off for the harm inflicted. With strategic positioning, Jae-Yong can clear an entire team. Moreover, his healing capabilities support his allies within the designated hot zone.
Gem Grab
Similar to Hot Zone, Jae-Yong has the ability to inflict powerful attacks that pierce through opponents. Often, disorganized foes will be drawn towards the center in search of Gems, creating an opportunity for Jae-Yong to deal damage effortlessly. Additionally, functioning as a healer, he can boost the health of his teammates who are scrambling to collect Gems, helping them stay alive during the chaos.
Duo/Trio Showdown
On my own, I find it tough during Showdowns. However, having teammates by my side brings out my best performance. Moreover, the presence of more foes offers me a greater opportunity to inflict devastating piercing damage. Lastly, my healing abilities prove invaluable for our survival in the long run.
Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide – What Modes Should I NOT Use Jae-Yong In?
Heist
As a gamer, I’ve found that Jae-Yong isn’t the best fit for Hot Zone due to his relatively low damage output. Sure, his piercing attacks can take down enemies, but they might not be swift enough to clear out the safe zone. His healing abilities can provide some assistance, but it’s not a game-changer in the high-intensity environment of Hot Zone.
Solo Showdown
In a game of Solo Showdown, Jae-Yong’s skills are useful but have limits. His powerful strike can swiftly demolish boxes, but it takes time for him to break them and gather cubes. Unfortunately, he lacks the defense against opponents who can quickly attack him in close combat. However, we find that he performs better in Solo Showdown compared to other game modes.
In summary, here concludes our comprehensive guide on Brawl Stars’ character, Jae-Yong. Wishing you the best of luck as you strive to unlock him. We trust you’ll have a great time playing with Jae-Yong!
