The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping FIRST LOOK as Kieran Culkin makes his debut in new official trailer

The first trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is here, and it gives us our first look at Kieran Culkin in the film.

This movie takes place 25 years before the events of The Hunger Games and shows us younger versions of characters we already know, like Effie Trinket (played by Elle Fanning), President Snow (Ralph Fiennes), and Plutarch Heavensbee (Jesse Plemons).

The first movie based on Suzanne Collins’ prequel novel, Sunrise on the Reaping, will arrive in theaters on November 20th.

Kieran will play a younger version of Caesar Flickerman, a character previously portrayed by Stanley Tucci. Maya Hawke will star as Wiress.

Joseph Zada, a newer face in acting, will play Haymitch, and Jesse Plemons will take on the role of Plutarch Heavensbee – a character previously played by Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Glenn Close was almost completely transformed into her character, Drusilla Sickle, using extensive makeup, prosthetics, and false teeth.

In a statement released in June 2024, the author explained that their book, ‘Sunrise on the Reaping,’ was influenced by the philosopher David Hume’s concept of how people readily accept authority – as Hume put it, ‘the easiness with which the many are governed by the few.’

She explained that the story allowed for a closer look at how propaganda works and the influence of those who shape the information we receive. She feels the question of what’s truly real is becoming increasingly important.

Francis Lawrence, who directed four out of the five previous Hunger Games movies, also directed this new film.

Haymitch was a victor in the 50th Hunger Games when he was young. The upcoming movie will show how that experience shaped him into the cynical and often drunk man that fans see in the books and films.

Ben Wang will play Wyatt Callow, a tribute from District 12. His family is known for gambling on the Hunger Games.

Jesse Plemons will play a younger version of the character Plutarch, a role previously portrayed by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Elle has recently been filming ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping,’ a new movie that tells a story from before the popular ‘Hunger Games’ series.

Elle stars as a younger version of Elizabeth Bank’s character Effie Trinket.

The film features Mckenna Grace and Ben Wang as tributes Maysilee Donner and Wyatt Callow, alongside Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove, a woman Haymitch cared for deeply and hopes to find again after the Games.

The movies in this series have earned a total of $3.3 billion worldwide in ticket sales.
