Adolescence co-creator Jack Thorne’s next drama series is in the works.

Thorne and Stephen Graham penned the popular Netflix series that revolved around the apprehension of 13-year-old Jamie Miller for a classmate’s murder, detailing the ensuing consequences for Jamie and those close to him.

Building upon the triumph of the series, Thorne is penning his inaugural romantic tale, titled Falling. Production for this significant new Channel 4 drama will commence in Wales and Bristol.

The ensemble is completed by Rakie Ayola as Kaos, Jason Watkins from Coma, Niamh Cusack of The Virtues, Adrian Scarborough known for Gavin & Stacey, and David Dawson, who starred in My Policeman.

A potential second season of Adolescence might be on its way, following whispers that the show’s creators have been engaged in discussions about a sequel.

The co-heads of Plan B, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, are currently discussing with director Philip Barantini regarding the upcoming phase or next version of the series.
