Voice Australia Winner’s Shocking Revelation: No Contact with Mentor Rita Ora!

Lachie Gill, the performer, has made it clear that there’s no ongoing relationship between him and pop sensation Rita Ora, following her mentorship of him on The Voice in 2022.

This past week, during a Q&A session on my favorite social media platform, I openly shared that I am a 27-year-old physical education teacher.

It seems clear that the ex-AFL player holds no grudge against the British pop star, as evidenced by his recent post, titled “The answer to your most frequently asked question at last.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I recently took to my Instagram to share a captivating selfie clip and engage with my followers by addressing some intriguing questions about the fabulous Rita Ora. Among the queries, I found myself fielding inquiries such as, “Are we still on friendly terms, Rita Ora?” and “Do we still keep in touch?”.

Someone else asked, ‘Have you seen Rita since The Voice?’

In the video Lachie can be seen nodding his head sadly alongside the caption, ‘No’.

Instead, the much-loved contestant shared a heartfelt flashback video where he sang Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way” with Rita during the final of The Voice in 2022.

He then added the sweet message, ‘but… I’ll always remember us this way.’

After winning The Voice, Lachie released his 2023 EP titled “Write It Out” following two singles from 2022 – “Wasted Time” and “Sad Summer.

Lachie last heard from Rita after the finale aired Yahoo Lifestyle reported in 2023.

After the performance, she reached out to me with a message expressing her immense pride in me. To be precise, she stated, “We triumphed! I’m incredibly proud of you.” This is how he remembers it.

In the year 2022, Lachie triumphantly claimed the title of “The Voice Australia” champion. As his reward, he pocketed a cash prize of $100,000 and secured a recording agreement with Universal Music Australia.

Following Sonia Kruger’s decision, the ex-football player and physical education instructor expressed his astonishment by saying he was “taken aback” or “left speechless”.

Lachie was astonished, remarking he could never have foreseen it. He was utterly amazed and expressed his gratitude profusely, saying ‘Wow’, followed by another heartfelt ‘Thank you’.

Proud coach Rita, praised him for his talent and thanked Australia for their support.

You accomplished everything! Australia, my heartfelt thanks, twice over! You’ve won my affection! It feels like this is just the start of your incredible journey. Bravo! I’m absolutely thrilled for you, I could burst!” she exclaimed enthusiastically.

From the very start, Rita was determined to get the talented Lachie on her team.

Lachie stands out from the crowd; he’s an exceptional storyteller who can mesmerize his listeners and lead them on a journey. Every performance feels like the last, as if he’s pouring all his emotion into each note. This is how it was described by her.

Lachie thanked the Body on Me hit-maker for reminding him to stay authentic.

He’s provided me with difficult tunes, yet consistently advises, “Rather than imitating others, simply perform in your own style, Lachie.” This is what he expressed.

It comes after Lachie spoke out about his career in a frank 2023 interview.

He pointed out that achieving success as a performer can be extremely challenging, regardless of whether you’ve already appeared on a well-known talent competition for singers.

Lachie pointed out that with numerous aspiring artists seeking their major opportunity, it’s crucial for a singer to distinguish themselves in order to grab attention.

In simpler terms, he said to The Daily Telegraph that many people believe winning a television show automatically makes them a star. However, this isn’t the case.

Ultimately, the music scene is quite crowded with numerous artists. To stand out and capture listeners’ attention, it’s essential to offer something unique compared to other musicians.

The truth of his caution is evident, since while some victors of singing competitions such as Australia’s Idol, like Guy Sebastian, have enjoyed prosperous music careers, quite a few others find themselves slipping out of the limelight, much like The Voice’s 2021 winner, Bella Taylor Smith.
