Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide: Abilities Breakdown

Jae-Yong’s Trait

Jae-Yong’s trait charges his Super over time, in very few seconds.

Jae-Yong’s Attack: Work Hard, Play Hard

Using your primary fire, you can launch a penetrative missile whose impact varies based on your active mode, and it has an impressive range. Furthermore, the reloading time for these missiles is swift.

In Work-focused settings, your attacks inflict less harm, yet they generate slipstreams that accelerate you and fellow team members. On the other hand, during social gatherings, or “Party mode”, your assaults are more potent, while simultaneously restoring health to your comrades.

Jae-Yong’s Super: Mix It Up!

The Mix It Up! Super allows him to toggle between Work and Party settings, altering the way his primary attack and skills function according to the selected mode.

In Work Mode, your immediate teammates momentarily gain increased movement speed, whereas transitioning into Party Mode triggers a temporary healing effect on those close by.

Tips for using Jae-Yong’s Super

  • Try to combo with teammates: You should try to coordinate with teammates who benefit from your Super. Speed boosts are great for Assassins and closed-ranged Brawlers, while tanks and squishy teammates will benefit from healing, to change the momentum of the game.
  • Position yourself wisely: Since your Super only affects nearby teammates, make sure you are positioned well, mostly in the middle of your team, or close enough, before you plan to switch your modes.
  • Use Work mode after respawns: After your team is wiped out, switch to Work mode to give your teammates a speed boost, to regroup and get back to the objectives quicker without wasting much time.

Brawl Stars Jae-Yong Guide: Gadgets and Star Power

Gadget

Weekend Warrior

Once turned on, this device allows you to inflict damage over an area and temporarily boosts the power of your main attack for a duration of 5 seconds. However, it has a recharge period of 15 seconds before it can be activated again.

Time For a Slow Song

With this device, you can temporarily hinder nearby opponents in combat, and each of your attacks creates a trail of papers that slows down enemies for five seconds. Keep in mind, there’s a 15-second cool-down period between uses.

Star Powers

The Crowd Goes Mild

With Teammates Nearby, the Radiance of Stardom bestows a 10% speed enhancement upon you. This effect persists as long as you maintain proximity to your companions.

Extra High Note

With the Star Power, High-Pitched Strike, your primary attack deals an extra 20% of damage for each opponent Brawler it successfully penetrates.

Best Game Modes for Jae-yong

Best Brawler Combination with Jae-yong

Jae-yong excels as a Support Brawler when teamed up with players who can make the most of his abilities. Tough characters like Frank or Bull could greatly utilize your healing and speed enhancement since their mobility is relatively low. I think Nita would be an excellent match too, considering you’d be able to heal both her and her pet.

Max is another excellent option if you’re aiming for a double speed increase, making your team incredibly agile. Particularly effective brawlers such as Mortis, Edgar, or Buzz can capitalize on your Work mode’s enhancement. Feel free to mix and match Brawlers that complement Jae-yong the most in gameplay.

Best Gears for Jae-yong in Brawl Stars

Shield Gear

When playing as a supportive Brawler who boosts your team, it’s crucial to prioritize staying safe throughout the game to maximize your impact. In this regard, the Shield Gear is an excellent pick for Jae-yong, offering an extra 900 health in the form of a consumable shield that recharges every 10 seconds when you are fully healed.

Damage Gear

Given that Jae-yong’s current damage isn’t extremely significant, the Damage Gear would be particularly advantageous for him. Wearing this gear enables a 15% boost in damage inflicted on opponents once his health falls below 50%.
