This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

The horror film titled “Sinners” has managed to reach a box office milestone not seen in over 15 years. This latest production reunites director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan, who have previously collaborated on projects like “Fruitvale Station”, “Creed”, and both versions of “Black Panther”. The release of “Sinners” has had a strong start, dethroning “A Minecraft Movie” from its position at the top of the charts during its third week in cinemas. With a domestic debut of $48 million, it set a new record for the best Easter weekend launch for an R-rated movie in history.

According to “The Numbers”, on April 22nd (Tuesday), the movie “Sinners” experienced a 10% increase at the domestic box office compared to Monday. This is quite unusual, particularly following Easter Monday when many cinemagoers had a day off. Box office analyst Scott Mendelson notes on X that this performance is the best for an Easter weekend release since the debut of “Hannah Montana: The Movie” in 2009.

Mendelson playfully suggests, “It’s high time for Hollywood to produce more films set during Easter, featuring a single actor portraying two distinct characters.
