Overwatch 2 Freja: Abilities, ultimate, and perks
Freja has arrived in Overwatch 2 with her trusty Revdraw Crossbow. Here’s how her kit works!
In Overwatch 2, the latest addition to our roster is Freja, a damage-dealing hero. Her weapon of choice? The versatile Revdraw Crossbow, capable of firing both rapid automatic and explosive bolts. Join us as we delve into the details of Freja’s abilities, ultimate, passive traits, and bonuses in Overwatch 2!
Overwatch 2 Freja abilities, ultimate, and more
- Quick Dash (Ability): Vaults in the direction Freja’s moving and refreshes Take Aim.
- Updraft (Ability): Launches Freja upwards.
- Bola Shot (Ultimate): Fires an explosive bola that wraps up an enemy and pulls in nearby enemies.
- Revdraw Crossbow (Primary Fire): Fires automatic bolts rapidly.
- Take Aim (Secondary Fire): Slows down Freja’s momentum to take aim with a high speed explosive bolt. Quick Dash refreshes Take Aim.
- Bounty Hunting (Passive): Every three final blows results in bonus ultimate charge.
- Damage Hero (Passive): Damages an enemy hero to reduce their healing received.
Freja primarily uses the Revdraw Crossbow as her main attack, while Take Aim serves as her secondary fire. In terms of her skills, she has Quick Dash and Updraft to aid in movement. Her ultimate is the Bola Shot, and it synergizes particularly well with her Bounty Hunting passive, which boosts her ultimate charge for every three successful final hits.
Overwatch 2 Freja perks
- Frost Bolts (Minor Perk): Enemies heroes who are hit by three regular bolts in quick succession are slowed down by 20% for two seconds.
- Tracking Instinct (Minor Perk): Freja can see enemies heroes who are at critical health through walls.
- Ready to Hunt (Major Perk): Using Freja’s Updraft ability grants her a temporary, free use of her Quick Dash ability.
- Relentless Barrage (Major Perk): Getting direct hits with Take Aim refunds 4 ammo for Freja’s Revdraw Crossbow.
In a game of Overwatch 2, Freja has two minor abilities called Frost Bolts and Tracking Instinct, as well as two major ones: Ready to Hunt and Relentless Barrage. Players can choose one minor and one major perk during a match to enhance their character’s performance. The picture above demonstrates the Tracking Instinct perk, while the one below illustrates that the Relentless Barrage perk refunds ammo for the Revdraw Crossbow.
Freja to enter Overwatch 2 Stadium
Currently, you can enjoy playing Freja in both Unranked and Competitive game modes when this article was published. But as per Senior Game Designer Dylan Snyder, she is expected to be introduced in the new Stadium game mode during the middle of Season 16.
Synergy shares exciting news! Alongside the 17 heroes you’ll encounter at the onset of Season 16, we’re thrilled to unveil a brand new character joining Overwatch 2 – Freja – during our mid-season update,” Snyder stated.
