Lindsay Lohan’s Dad Jailed for Probation Violation After Assaulting Ex-Wife
Recently, Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael, has been imprisoned due to a probation violation following a series of events after an arrest warrant was issued against him, accusing him of physically attacking his separated spouse.
64-year-old media figure was taken into custody in Palm Beach, Florida a month ago for breaching his probation terms. On Wednesday, in a Florida court, he was instructed to spend 9 months behind bars due to this violation, as reported by TMZ.
Lohan’s time served amounts to 38 days, but the rest of 2025 might find him still in prison.
According to sources, Lindsay Lohan admitted guilt for breaching her probation, which stemmed from an incident in Texas in February, where she was charged with a serious domestic assault accusation for allegedly attacking her estranged spouse, Kate Major.
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Lindsay Lohan for comment.
After the incident last month, authorities issued a warrant for Lohan’s arrest due to his probation stemming from a 2022 conviction in Palm Beach, Florida. This is connected to allegations that he took money by guiding patients towards a particular rehabilitation center.

In April 2021, Lindsay Lohan was apprehended for allegedly engaging in five instances of patient brokering and one attempt at patient brokering.
The legal matter in Texas is yet to be resolved, with additional reports indicating that Major was attending the court proceedings remotely from Texas, where he is currently caring for their two young sons.
On the same day news about her father’s sentencing was revealed, actress Lohan (age 38) posted pictures on Instagram featuring her son Luai (who is 21 months old), husband Bader Shammas, and snapshots from her promotional events for a new movie titled “Freakier Friday.
On February 23, DailyMail.com reported that representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department stated that the complainant, who was identified as Major, reached out to authorities after she observed Michael in a medical building’s parking lot.
Previously, Lohan alleged that Major was intentionally setting him up for an arrest, as she had physically and verbally mistreated him before the incident leading to his arrest.
Lohan stated to the publication that Kate had been attempting to have him arrested for violating his probation for quite some time now. She allegedly fabricated these accusations in Texas as a means of carrying out this action.
On February 21, Major contacted emergency services expressing worry that someone (Michael) might be tailing her. This prompted the local authorities to dispatch officers to the scene in response.
According to reports, Major informed the deputies that Michael had knocked Major out of a chair at their home a few days prior.

Previously involved in several legal issues with her ex-spouse, she informed the authorities that she experienced both physical pain and emotional distress following his assault.
According to reports, Major, who has two young sons with Michael, displayed visible injuries to a female officer, claiming they were inflicted during an assault.
Later on, the authorities got in touch with Michael, who was apprehended peacefully at his home as stated by officials. It was disclosed that Michael Lohan is being detained due to a charge of Long-Term Family Violence, and he has been set a bond of $30,000 according to DailyMail.com reports.
In September 2018, the previous relationship came to an end when Major declared in a Florida court document that their marriage was beyond repair. He stated that it was irreparable, asking for primary custody of their boys, along with child support and spousal maintenance.
Michael has two sons, Landon (age 12) and Logan (age 10), with his partner Major. Additionally, he is a father to four other children: Lindsay (age 38), Michael Jr. (age 36), Aliana (age 31), and Dakota (age 28), whom he had with his former spouse Dina Lohan.
In October 2014, Michael and former entertainment journalist Major got married at Hillsboro Beach, Florida. However, Lindsay was absent during their wedding ceremony.
In September 2018, they separated when Major declared in a Florida court document that their marriage was beyond repair, stating it as ‘irreparable.’ He also asked for primary guardianship of their sons, along with child support and spousal maintenance.
The event occurred approximately eight months following a roadside altercation involving the former pair, which took place in Spring, Texas on June 26, 2024. During this incident, Michael decided to reach out to the law enforcement officials.

At that moment, they were caught on camera by TMZ, having a heated disagreement right smack in the middle of the street.
The intense conversation stemmed from several disputes and her stay at his house when he wasn’t present, as Michael explained to the media source.
Major posted a video where she was driving and having a heated discussion with Michael, an incident that didn’t result in any formal charges being pressed, as reported by the media outlet.
Michael shouted at Major, “Step out of the vehicle! I’ve just talked to your attorney.” Major then prompted him to move away from the roadside.
Major called her ex a ‘psychopath’ noting that he was ‘calling the f***ing cops.’
The Major could be overheard expressing sympathy, saying, ‘What a pity, those unfortunate children,’ followed by him exclaiming to Michael, ‘You’ve completely lost it!’
Following the arrival of an officer, Major stated that Michael was pursuing her, darted in front of her vehicle, necessitating a 5150 examination. The scene concluded with Major conversing with the officer.
Major said: ‘Oh my God, oh my f***ing God, I didn’t even get out of the driveway.’

Michael shared with TMZ the various aspects of the intense conversation, stating that he allowed Major to reside at his house when he and his kids were away from town.
Michael informed the media outlet that while a ‘restraining order’ was in effect against Major, he and the district attorney advised her to leave the property by 5 p.m. on their instructions.
At approximately 6 p.m., as reported by the source, it was stated that Michael claimed Major had taken his vehicle without permission around that time.
Michael reportedly informed TMZ that Major was drinking with visitors he’d invited to his home, and furthermore, he alleged that Major caused harm to the security system installed at his residence.
Michael shared that he and Major had a disagreement about her alcohol consumption, yet chose not to report it to the relevant authorities immediately.
According to reports from last summer, Michael and Major remain legally wedded, though they’ve been living apart for several years.
