Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny’s New ‘Hell’ Mode is So Challenging, Even the Original Game Director Hasn’t Completed It
In May, there will be a revamped version of the 2002 game titled “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny“, and it comes equipped with an additional ‘Hell’ difficulty level. This challenging mode is designed to push even the most proficient players to their limits.
As a gamer myself, I’ve got to admit that this game is no walk in the park – even the original Game Director, Motohide Eshiro, hasn’t been able to conquer it completely yet! He shared this during an interview with the PS Blog. This isn’t your everyday gaming experience; it’s more like a developer’s challenge, aimed squarely at those boasting about their gaming prowess. We, the developers, want players to immerse themselves in intense sword battles filled with suspense and anticipation.
He mentioned that he hasn’t managed to finish the game’s current difficulty level yet, but he believes that if someone, anywhere in the world, can do it, that would be acceptable. He went on to say that another team member has successfully completed the most challenging level (Hell mode), implying that it’s not an insurmountable task. That’s reassuring to hear.
He continued, “I’d love for players, particularly those who are self-assured about their abilities, to give it a try. If you’re not quite there yet, don’t worry – you can make steady progress by regularly saving your game. And if you manage to finish it, that would truly be impressive!
The action-adventure game, “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny,” is set to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers on the 23rd of May.
