Bridgerton star’s “unapologetic” period drama confirms release date and shares first look

Excitingly, the highly anticipated new period drama featuring Bessie Carter from Bridgerton, has unveiled its initial photos and set a release date for viewers to enjoy.

In the forthcoming series, we delve into the true accounts of the six Mitford sisters, a noble family whose lives were filled with both renown and infamy during the 1930s and 1940s in England, due to their frequently controversial actions and opinions.

Following its announcement in August, the much-anticipated series “Outrageous” is now slated for release. The six-episode drama will debut on both U and U&Drama channels on the 19th of June, accompanied by an array of images to mark the occasion.

Actress Phoebe Dynevor, known for her portrayal of Prudence Featherington in Bridgerton, is set to take on the character of Nancy in the upcoming series, Outrageous. Alongside her will be Isobel Jesper Jones, Joanna Vanderham, Shannon Watson, Zoe Brough and Orla Hill.

The logline tells us about an extraordinary tale of six high-born sisters who defied societal norms, their unconventional lives capturing global attention. This era is depicted as one marked by indulgence, extravagance, and lighthearted excess.

The extraordinary account of the Mitford sisters’ lives will be portrayed unabashedly on screen for the very first time, revealing tales of familial loyalty and deceit, notorious scandals, radical ideologies, affection, sorrow, and even incarceration.

Sarah Williams penned “Extravagant,” a work based on Mary S Lovell’s 2001 novel, “The Mitford Sisters.” Ellie Heydon and Joss Agnew are the directors, with James Purefoy, Anna Chancellor, and Toby Regbo joining the ensemble cast.>
