Brawlhalla unleashes its Max Mode: With an open LAN and Winter Royale

Six leading players, hailing from three distinct areas, have earned their places at the Brawlhalla Winter Championship. Additionally, two more contenders have the chance to qualify at the Max Mode event.

Following a brief intermission, the principal competitions of the Brawlhalla esports scene have made their comeback! The action-packed event Max Mode debuts an innovative format for the Winter Royale Invitational. Alongside the main event, showcasing a fierce battle among the top Brawlhalla players worldwide, spectators can also catch the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

The Winter Royale Brawlhalla event offers an opportunity to familiarize yourself with some of the most skilled players within the community. These events often feature interviews and close observations of player interactions, providing a more personal touch compared to purely online tournaments where spectators can’t see the competitors directly. It serves as a welcome change and adds a human element to the competition.

It’s true that the LCQ attendees aren’t just casual participants; they’re well-recognized figures like Sandstorm, Raydish, and Wess. However, there are also less established pros in attendance. The struggle for two qualification spots is an engaging spectacle to behold, and the inclusion of two LCQ players promises to make the Brawlhalla Royale even more thrilling!

Brawlhalla Max Mode: Participants and results

2025’s Brawlhalla Winter Championship saw the issuance of Max Mode Royale invitations to six elite players hailing from three distinct areas.

  • Marckiemoo and BalloonBoy represent North America. The region sends its young power!
  • Mounir and acno? are from Europe. Actually, it was bamya who won the qualifier, but the player can’t join Royale.
  • yüz and lores qualified from South America. Having the two-time Brawlhalla World Champion in the brackets is a treat for viewers and a threat for other participants.

Brawlhalla Winter Royale 2025 results

In the thrilling world of Brawlhalla Autumn Royale 2024, I’ve always found myself eagerly watching as competitors initially engaged in Round Robin tournaments. The cream of the crop, the top six contenders, would then triumphantly move on to the final brackets, ready to face off for ultimate glory!

For this event, it seems there are fewer participants compared to previous years. The Brawlhalla Winter Royale 2025 adopts a conventional top 8 elimination bracket system.

We will add the matchups when the info is available. Stay tuned!

New announcement: More Star Wars skins in Brawlhalla?

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but feel pumped about the latest Legend who’s just joined Brawlhalla – me, I mean, her name is Priya! She’s brought a fresh twist to the game with an entirely new weapon, the Chakram. It’s electrifying to see this addition, and pro players have had ample time to master her moves. Could this be the big esports debut for Priya at Winter Royale? The anticipation is real!

There seems to be less expectation that Brawlhalla will unveil its next character during Max Mode, as collaboration events have taken center stage in the game recently. The addition of skins from Destiny 2 suggests a shift towards such partnerships.

Regarding what we might anticipate about Brawlhalla announcements during Max Mode, the creators have subtly suggested the possibility of additional Star Wars-themed skins. During their April 22 Dev Stream on Tuesday, they shared a brief preview in the form of a teaser trailer.

Obi-Wan got distracted from his game with Anakin. Who could cause this disturbance?

The Max Mode sports competition, held in Norcross, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta), is primarily known for multi-title fighting games events. Additionally, other games such as FATAL FURY CotW are showcased here. Interestingly, this tournament takes place the day after the game’s release.

Brawlhalla has previously participated in the larger fighting game community’s (FGC) esports events on multiple occasions. Specifically, it took part in the Midseason Championship of 2024 during CEO 2024, and this collaboration is expected to continue at similar events in 2025 as well.
