Iman Vellani Joins Star-Studded Cast for Exciting Adaptation of Animal Farm!

2022 saw Iman Vellani stepping into her acting career with a bang, portraying a superhero within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her first appearance was as Kamala Khan in the Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel”, followed by a repeat performance in “The Marvels” the following year. Upcoming projects include voicing Kamala in the animated Marvel TV show “Marvel Zombies”. I’m excitedly anticipating her potential return to the role in a future Marvel movie. Additionally, I’m thrilled to learn that she will be part of a 2025 film release featuring an impressive ensemble cast including Seth Rogen and Woody Harrelson.

In a diverse casting decision, actors such as Gateway Matarzzo, Steve Buscemi, Christopher Walken, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Jim Parsons, and Kathleen Turner have been chosen to voice characters in the upcoming animated adaptation of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”. This new interpretation of the 1945 novella is being helmed by Andy Serkis, who will also contribute his voice to the project. Notably, Nick Stoller, known for his work on “The Muppets” and “Storks”, has penned the script for this production.

The Marvels’ Iman Vellani Explains How The MCU Can Find Endgame-Level Success Moving Forward

I Inquired from Iman Vellani if she excels at maintaining Marvel’s secrets, and my suspicion is that she has an advantage over Tom Holland in this area.

In a nutshell, “Animal Farm” is about a band of talking animals on a farm who rise up against their human masters to manage the farm themselves. Their aim was to establish a more just society, but it unfortunately spirals out of control when a pig named Napoleon seizes power and transforms into a dictator. The upcoming film adaptation by Andy Serkis will be the third version of this story, following the 1954 animated movie and the 1999 live-action TV series. As of now, only Seth Rogen has been cast as Napoleon’s voice, while the roles for other characters remain undecided.

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly anticipating my involvement with “Animal Farm” since 2011. Back then, Rupert Wyatt, who worked with me on “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” was set to lead the project. A year later, I took up the director’s mantle, but it wasn’t until 2022 that the long-awaited “Animal Farm” finally started filming at Cinesite Studios. Prior to this, I had the privilege of directing films like “Breathe,” “Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle,” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

I’ve really appreciated watching Iman Vellani embody Kamala Khan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s exciting to see her taking on roles outside of the superhero genre. I can’t wait to find out which character she’ll voice in “Animal Farm”, and who else is involved in this upcoming book-to-screen adaptation. Additionally, her other forthcoming films are “Shiver” and “Mouse”, though release dates for these projects haven’t been announced yet.

Contrarily, “Animal Farm” is scheduled for release in cinemas on July 11. Meanwhile, don’t miss out on watching Iman Vellani’s portrayal of Ms. Marvel, which you can stream using your Disney+ membership.
