In the initial stages of their relationship, it was reported that Jay-Z faced rivalry for Beyoncé’s affection, as disclosed by her mother in her recently published memoir.

In her book “Matriarch,” Tina Knowles disclosed that Beyoncé, who is now 43 years old, initially started a romantic relationship with hip-hop magnate Jay-Z as simply friends. This revelation was made public when the book hit the shelves on Tuesday.

It’s been disclosed that Tina mentioned a secret man who Beyoncé was managing her affairs with, and she found it challenging to decide between the two.

In the early 2000s, Beyoncé cultivated a close relationship with Jay [Z], primarily through conversations on the phone, as she recounted in her book.

For the initial encounter, the artist who broke free from conventions visited Houston for a performance, and Knowles extended an invitation for him to join her for a familial gathering at her residence.

However, during the filming of Austin Powers in Goldmember in 2002, not only did Jay-Z, but also another individual, frequently made visits to the growing actress on set.

Knowles revealed to her audience that the union of the Carter and Knowles families marked the beginning, and they remain incredibly close till now.

The wedding took place at their home on April 4, as it was the only location we could guarantee privacy, the mother shared with pride.

She described our get-togethers as transforming into lively parties filled with hearty laughter, engaging stories, drinks, and dancing. Reminiscent of the Bible’s advice to feast, drink, and revel, our nights with the Carters are similar in spirit, she noted.

Tina, known for her versatile skills, was not only responsible for designing the costumes of Destiny’s Child but also crafted the wedding dress for her own daughter at her 2008 nuptials with the founder of Roc Nation.

During their combined On The Run Tour, the couple broadcasted a video of their memorable occasion, which was televised on HBO.

She went on to describe that they had a woman create tall white drapes to hide both the walls and windows, reaching all the way up to the lofty 25-foot heights.

In spite of the lavish decorations, the event had a down-home feel. 

She mentioned that she participated with Jay’s grandmother and mother in preparing all the dishes, as she removed the cover from a cherished family tradition. Naturally, we opted for soul food, which is ideal for a festive evening filled with dancing and familial affection.
