The Vans OTW line by Vans not only serves as a vibrant platform for creativity and experimentation within their skatewear division, but it also functions as a dynamic collaborative space. Recent notable partnerships with JJJJound and Satoshi Nakamoto have reinforced this role, and now Vans is teaming up again with HommeGirls for a second collaboration.
In October 2024, OTW by Vans and HommeGirls reconnected to collaborate again on a project that builds upon their initial partnership from the previous Fall. The collection introduces two new Authentic 44 Checkerboard styles, characterized by a canvas upper, discreet co-branding, and available in tonal and military green color options. For clothing, they’ve designed a workwear-inspired jacket and pants, along with fitted and cropped tops, boxers, and socks.
According to a press release from Thakoon Panichgul, the HommeGirls’ second collaboration with Vans on the OTW line carries forward the theme of the checkerboard pattern, now presented in a patchwork style. This is achieved by blending striped shirts with white cotton poplin and a jacket that combines workwear and military aesthetics in a patchwork design. In his statement, Panichgul explained that these pieces embody the classic HommeGirls elements while honoring the originality of Vans’ Off the Wall (OTW) line.
The lookbook aims to capture the vibrant essence of the joint products, featuring Vans Skate Team member Efron Danzig alongside models Dede Mansro and Alice McNally, all photographed in the bustling cityscape of New York City.
