You Won’t Believe Sentry’s SHOCKING True Role in Avengers: Doomsday

Discusses the continued emphasis on Lewis Pullman’s character, Sentry, in the culmination of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five. Director Jake Schreier suggests that Sentry might not be limited to the movie alone, and could potentially have a considerable role in future projects as well.

In an interview with SFX Magazine (via ), Schreier discussed how the film “Thunderbolts” lays the groundwork for the future conflict between its titular antihero group and Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Doctor Doom. He explained, “There might be some small hints or clues,” adding, “You know the kind of power that character possesses, and it could have far-reaching consequences. I’m not working on ‘Doomsday’, so I don’t have all the details.

In the exciting narrative of Thunderbolts, Sentry and his enigmatic counterpart, The Void, have been highly anticipated as crucial elements. Lately, Pullman’s character has garnered attention in a sneak peek. This character is presented as Bob, an enigmatic man in a straitjacket struggling with memory loss, who the Thunderbolts face off against. Despite his peculiarities, there are hints of Bob’s powers, and another teaser suggests more to come.

In this scenario, the group once known as Thunderbolts finds itself in peril, ensnared by CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) steps up as the unofficial leader. The motley crew, consisting of Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), band together to avert global catastrophe during a high-risk operation. By successfully completing this mission, they aim to make amends for their prior wrongdoings.

It’s Unclear If Sentry Is A Hero or Villain in Thunderbolts*

Despite appearing to be on their side, Sentry harbors doubts about the team’s ability to save the world. It remains unclear whether Sentry is a hero or a villain in Thunderbolts*. The Top Gun: Maverick star has hinted at his character’s uncertain past by stating, “He doesn’t recall much of what happened. He doesn’t know how he ended up where he is.

It has been verified that Pullman is coming back to play the Sentry in the upcoming Avengers sequel, which is being filmed simultaneously with Secret Wars in the U.K. Additionally, all the stars from the Thunderbolts team have been confirmed, but Marvel president Kevin Feige hinted at CinemaCon that further cast members will be revealed.
