Benidorm’s child star unrecognizable a decade later, teases potential show revival!

In simple terms, a former child actor from Benidorm left spectators astonished during a recent television performance because he appeared dramatically different compared to how he used to look in the ITV comedy series.

On a talk show called Loose Women, Oliver Stokes, known for his role as Michae Garvey, was joined by his fellow cast member Hannah Hobley.

The show’s lineup now includes them, as the network has announced a revival of the cherished sitcom, which ended its run eight years ago.

At present, Oliver, who is now 26 years old, shared insights into his experiences on the show and filming episodes in Benidorm during his youth. During those times, he often stayed in Spain for as long as three months at a stretch.

During breaks from filming, the actor admitted that he was assisted by a personal tutor for about five hours daily, ensuring he stayed on track academically.

Since the show started in 2007, Oliver was only eight at the time, but following its conclusion, he opted for a more private life and took on the role of parenthood.

He starred alongside Hannah, who played his sister Chantelle.

After his recent appearance, as reported by The Mirror, fans expressed their opinions about Oliver’s altered look on platform X (previously known as Twitter).

‘Wow, it’s amazing how Michael Garvey from Benidorm has transformed into a stunningly good-looking young adult.’

– Original: ‘I’ve never felt so old watching Loose Women after seeing the Benidorm kids all grown up,’
‘Watching Loose Women left me feeling quite old when I saw how much the children from Benidorm have matured.’

This month, it emerged that the original producer of the series, Derren Little, has been discussing a potential comeback of the show with ITV.

Derren stated: “Sherrie usually circulates such a rumor about once every two years. Sherrie claims that the series will be returning, and she’s genuinely optimistic – not trying to cause trouble – because she adores the show just like I do.

The TV writer subsequently hints at the validity of the rumor by stating: ‘I’ve only spoken truth if I say that ITV has not yet ordered a new season of Benidorm, because as of today, they haven’t. It’s plausible that they could commission a new series soon.’

Afterward, the author playfully questions his audience saying, “Haven’t I been in contact with ITV recently? Indeed, I have.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but reminisce about the side-splitting sitcom that first graced our screens back in 2007. Regrettably, it wrapped up its run in May 2018, leaving fans like myself longing for more. Ever since then, we’ve been eagerly waiting and hoping for a comeback!

Two months following its termination, the series clinched the award for Best Comedy at the TV Choice Awards; Derren, during his acceptance speech then, expressed his disapproval of the show’s cancellation.

After The Sun announced that ITV executives are discussing a revival, Derren made his remarks concerning the potential comeback of the series.

According to a source close to the TV industry, there’s exciting news for fans of the show “Benidorm”. It seems that ITV is considering reviving the series, which was unexpectedly taken off air and cherished by millions, leaving many enthusiasts disappointed. This potential comeback is sure to bring joy to those who loved the show!

Although an 11th season hasn’t been officially announced, there’s a growing sense of anticipation since discussions have started taking place.

I’m excited to share that the producers are now connecting with the main cast members of our beloved show. They are optimistic that we might reach a conclusion regarding its future by the end of this year.

Enthusiasts couldn’t contain their excitement when the rumor spread online, expressing: “I truly hope it’s accurate!! Long for the return of that beloved series!”;

1. It seems unreal, I truly hope this becomes a reality;

2. This feels too good to be true, I sincerely hope it materializes;

3. I can hardly believe it, I fervently wish for its realization;

4. It’s hard to grasp, I desperately hope they return;

5. I can scarcely comprehend it, I earnestly hope for their comeback.

It’s been five days past April Fool’s Day, but is this really a joke or the truth? Excitingly, ITV is bringing back an incredible show!

Wow! I’m overflowing with enthusiasm! This is just fantastic news! I truly hope the Garveys return soon!

‘I hope so cause that would be the best birthday present every.’

The British comedy series “ITV’s Brits Abroad,” set in a Spanish resort and known for its side-splitting adventures of holidaymakers, concluded in May 2018 following an 11-year run. Fans have been clamoring for additional episodes since then.

In 2023, the creative mind behind the popular series hinted at its comeback when he shared his plans to resume scriptwriting, not just for television but also for stage productions.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this exciting news: I’ve received undeniable signs that some television networks have shown interest in my upcoming decisions. I eagerly anticipate that you’ll get to witness the results of my tireless efforts soon enough!

Previously, during the past month, there was renewed optimism about its return after a fan inquired on X: “@DerrenLitten @ITV Any chance of another season for Benidorm?” To which he responded mysteriously with: “Perhaps we’ll see.

Derren shared on social media that the series ‘Benidorm’ was cancelled in 2018. It’s hard to believe, but this coming Wednesday marks the final episode!

11 years ago, I originated, scripted, appeared as a guest star, and eventually took charge of directing the series. I can hardly imagine anything more to be done! Many thanks for tuning in!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must confess that I was dismayed when the long-running series Benidorm was cancelled after 11 years. Actor Shane Richie shared my sentiments, expressing his own disappointment in the same regard.

On Sundays, he shared a GIF with his followers, saying: “I won’t let Sunday be a day of anger… Take a deep breath, Sammy. You’re a massive heap of beautiful magnificence… Oh well! Noooooooo!!!” (Informal)

Derren had initially dismissed reports that Benidorm was being taken off air after its 10th series.

On Twitter, he shared: “Stop trying to fool me! I found that story delightful, not just after season 6, but seasons 7, 8, and 9 as well!” (sic)

He later removed the message and retweeted a series of positive fan posts.

According to a source, ‘Benidorm’ has been a significant hit on ITV for ten years. However, those in charge believe that the show has reached its end.

It seems like an appropriate moment to conclude the show since audience ratings are decreasing and some beloved characters have departed. We want to end on a positive note while the show is still popular.

‘It has been ITV’s longest running comedy, which is a real achievement.’
