Lucy Beaumont’s Shocking Career Pivot Post-Split: Joining Celebrity Traitors?

Lucy Beaumont has recently been connected to the forthcoming season of Celebrity Traitors, with her rumored professional shift being unveiled.

This year, the comedian, who is now 40, will make her largest television appearance since announcing her separation from her fellow comedian husband Jon Richardson last year.

As reported by The Sun, the comedian is rumored to be eager to gain greater recognition from viewers. She is set to commence filming at the Scottish castle for the series in the coming days.

Once more, Celebrity Traitors will be led by Claudia Winkleman, with an anticipated roster of participants that allegedly includes Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, and Alan Carr.

According to a source, Lucy is a big enthusiast of the series and can’t wait to dive into the action at Ardross Castle.

Following her separation from Jon, she’s put in tremendous effort to establish a stronger personal brand. The show ‘Celebrity Traitors’ seems like an excellent platform for her to do so.

TopMob have contacted Lucy’s reps and BBC for comment.

In April 2024, Lucy – known for gracing multiple talk shows and earning the Chortle Award for Best Newcomer in 2012 – shocked her followers by announcing her decision to part ways with Jon after nine years of marriage, a move that took everyone by surprise.

They share a daughter and tied the knot in April 2015, two years after they started dating in 2013.

Initially, the pair crossed paths thanks to friend Roisin Conaty, and subsequently collaborated on multiple productions, including Meet The Richardsons.

In an April announcement, they stated: ‘Having been married for nine years, we choose to share that we’ve parted ways. With mutual understanding, we’ve decided to end our marriage through a divorce, and move forward separately.’

Jon handed over £1.625million to Lucy when they called time on their marriage.

In reference to our breakup, she shared with OK! Magazine that while some may expect her to discuss it due to our high-profile relationship, she chooses not to, not because of any lingering bitterness.

In simpler terms, we’ve both understood that although it may seem strange if others don’t know, we prefer not to discuss matters related to our marriage or personal lives with one another.

With anticipation growing for Celebrity Traitors, BBC managers seem to be implementing additional measures to maintain secrecy around the cast due to a string of disclosures.

Based on The Sun’s report, a highly organized military-like operation has been arranged for moving the main cast members to Ardross Castle.

Instead of jetting directly to Inverness Airport from various locations worldwide, these celebrities plan on using multiple modes of transportation such as trains, planes, cars, and boats for their journey.

To clarify, an air exclusion zone has been established above Claudia’s Headquarters in the Highlands, with the intention of preventing drone photographers from obtaining any photos.

According to a source, managing the celebrity aspects of a series that revolves around mystery and unexpected plot developments has proven to be quite challenging.

In this rephrased version: ‘Having personalities such as TV host Kate Garraway, former rugby player Joe Marler, and singer Paloma Faith involved, makes the situation prone to rumors and leaks, unlike hiring a call center manager from Liverpool or a retired opera singer.’

‘So execs have worked really hard to lock down every inch of the production.’

Instead of taking the same route as ordinary travelers, stars are expected to use multiple types of transportation when they arrive.

Additionally, the source asserted that a no-fly zone is currently active with the purpose of preventing any preparatory activities from being captured on camera.

A spokesperson for the BBC declined to comment.
