Brawl Stars Adding New Brawler Rarity, Brawlers, & More – Brawl Talk
Today saw the release of a fresh Brawl Stars Brawl Talk, revealing a brand-new Brawler Rarity, as well as two new Brawlers – Kaze and Jae-Yong. This update also teased additional content on the horizon, such as eight new Hypercharges, a new event, various game modes, and lots of other exciting developments. Let’s delve into the details straight away!
Brawl Stars Adding New Brawler Rarity & New Brawlers – Kaze & Jae-Yong
In a recent development, Brawl Stars is introducing a fresh Brawler Rarity called “Ultra Legendary,” and Kaze becomes the first character to hold this exceptional status within the game. (Previously, Supercell had eliminated the Chromatic rarity from the game, but now Brawl Stars boasts six different rarities once more.)
Kaze, in essence, combines the attributes of two fighters – a geisha and a ninja. These distinct forms offer unique behaviors, enabling Kaze players to strategically blend these personas and secure an advantage on the battlefield.
In her geisha attire, Kaze’s close combat move resembles Mortis’ but with a twist – it has a curved reach instead. Much like Shade, she inflicts extra damage when striking enemies from specific angles. Her special ability allows her to hurl a fan that confines opponents within a limited space. If they attempt to escape, they will sustain additional damage.
In this form, her special abilities enable her to either strip ammunition from foes ensnared by her Super, or reduce their movement speed if she can strike them within her attack range. On changing forms, she gains an increased speed or becomes invisible for her equipment.
Simultaneously, Kaze’s ninja abilities allow her to fire throwing stars from afar. Additionally, when using her Ninja form’s special ability, she can rapidly cover large distances, injuring adversaries as she moves.
In her Ninja form, her Star Powers either let her:
- Mark enemies who deal area damage when defeated
- Increases duration of effects triggered when switching to Ninja form (50%)
For Star Powers, she’ll get either healing or a quick move when transforming between forms. You can switch instantly between these forms, enabling strategic gameplay. If you unlock a Star Power for her Geisha form, it will also be available for her Ninja form. Lastly, Kaze has two Hypercharges for each form. For more details on the Hypercharge, refer to the relevant section below!
Jae-Yong is the upcoming new Brawler set to join Brawl Stars, and he’s expected to make an appearance towards the end of this season. As a middle-aged office worker, he possesses two distinct main attacks designed to aid him in victory. In Party Mode, he can hurl a penetrating projectile that heals his teammates. On the other hand, Work mode performs the same function but inflicts damage and penetrates through opponents. By utilizing these abilities effectively, you can gain an edge in battle.
Unlike Kaze, you must utilize Jae-Yong’s Super ability to toggle between modes. However, there is an advantage: when switching between the modes, you receive a buff. When switching to party mode, it heals all your teammates nearby. Moreover, when you switch to work mode, it grants a speed boost to your teammates. Also, Jae-Yong has two Star Powers and Gadgets at his disposal.
His special abilities grant him an enhancement: Either a quickness bonus when striking targets or increased harm to the penetrated ones. His tools offer two distinct functions. One option amplifies his primary attack’s damage for a short while, simultaneously causing area damage. The other option creates a trail that slows nearby enemies and causes any following foes to slow down as they traverse it.
We look forward to playing with Kaze and Jae-Yong in Brawl Stars!

Sushi & Limited-Time Wasabi Powers – Brawl Stars Brawl Talk
As you progress through this occasion, you accumulate Sushi Rolls, and amassing more of these leads to increased rewards. Some of these perks include fresh Brawlers, Hypercharges, Star Powers, Gadgets, Gems, the newly introduced Wasabi abilities, and much more. In total, Supercell has incorporated 60 Wasabi abilities for you to uncover during the event. These Wasabi abilities are divided into four groups – Hot (20), Extra Hot (15), Crazy Hot (15), and Inferno (10).
In our upcoming guide, you’ll find specific details about each Wasabi Power and how to obtain them. However, we got a sneak peek during Brawl Talk, where some powers were demonstrated. For instance, Stu can launch projectiles in all directions when he boosts. Shelly, on the other hand, fires her Super explosively over a vast range. Additionally, Mr. P now discharges two suitcases with each attack.
In essence, the Wasabi Powers have been strategically created to give your Brawler an edge in combat, but they are limited to battles that include the Wasabi modifier. Players competing in ranked matches or those choosing to skip the event won’t encounter these enhanced abilities.
Furthermore, accumulating Sushi will progressively fill your Sushi Gauge. Fully filling this gauge grants additional perks such as a Hypercharge Skin, new playable characters, and numerous other benefits. This gauge is the exclusive means to obtain the Oni Kenji Hypercharge skin.
In simpler terms, you collect Sushi rolls from various sources such as Daily Wins, Free Rewards, Special Quests, Daily Contests, a Club Event, and the Shop. The Club Event, called “Mega Buffet,” involves you and your fellow club members earning Sushi to receive fantastic prizes. Every day, you get four tickets that allow you participation in this event. The more victories you accumulate, the more Sushi both you and your teammates will earn.
Brawl Stars Adding New Game Modes – Brawl Arena, Samurai Smash & Oni Hunt – Brawl Stars Brawl Talk
Furthermore, two new modes are coming to Brawl Stars during the Katana Kingdom event:
- Samurai Smash (5v5 or 3v3)- Destroy Samuraibots and enemy players to collect enough Daruma Dolls and win the match
- Oni Hunt – Similar to Rampage, fight a giant Oni Kenji with up to three players. Earn Sushi for beating him on Insane and Master difficulties
During the Katana Kingdom Event, the Daily Contests are making a comeback, although they’re not exactly classified as modes. Similar to past Daily Contests, you can utilize your tickets, engage in matches, and garner rewards according to your achievements.
Moreover, Brawl Stars is set to introduce a new MOBA-style mode called Brawl Arena. In this fresh gameplay, your mission revolves around demolishing an adversary’s base. During the skirmish, you amass Arena XP upon defeating opponents, empowering you. Essentially, you must acquire XP, strengthen yourself, and safeguard your base, all while targeting the enemy headquarters.
In this game mode, each round lasts approximately five minutes and is packed with action. You’ll encounter various adversaries, ranging from AI-controlled waves to colossal Kaijus, as you work towards destroying the opposition’s base. Unfortunately, this exciting new feature won’t be available until the June season.
