However, not all festival-attending couples managed to sustain their relationship. Here, TopMob delves into the Coachella relationships that eventually ended.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd

At the VIP area of the festival in April 2017, the singers found it hard to resist touching or even kissing each other, as they were quite affectionate with one another.

The pair was noticed, affectionately wrapped in an embrace, exchanging kisses while partially focusing on the Main Stage.

In January 2017, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd made their relationship official by being seen showing affection towards each other outside the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, California.

Following their appearance at Coachella, they were spotted together at the Met Gala in May and the Harper’s Bazaar Icons event, both held in New York City, and Selena was present at his concert on September 16th in Philadelphia as well.

However, the duo parted ways later that same year, having only been together for ten months. According to reports, they had experienced difficulties for quite some time prior.

Their distress arose due to their demanding schedules during his concert tour and her shooting of the Woody Allen film titled “A Rainy Day in New York” in New York City.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

In a surprising turn of events, the usually secretive couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, publicly displayed their affection for the first time at Coachella in 2013, which was quite unusual given their elusive approach to their relationship.

Kristen Stewart came together with Robert Pattinson, her Twilight co-star, for the first time when she was just 18 years old. This was following her successful audition for the part of Bella Swan, a role which saw her falling in love with Edward Cullen, portrayed by Pattinson.

Currently, it’s said that Robert is married to the actress Suki Waterhouse, whom he began dating in 2018. Last year, they had their first child together.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran 

Karrueche Tran first shot to fame during her on-off romance with Chris Brown.

From 2011 to 2015, the couple were an item. However, their relationship ended in 2015 after he had a child, daughter Royalty, with model Nia Guzman.

Karrueche started seeing Chris not long after he faced charges for suspected assault on his former girlfriend, Rihanna, who had been accused of two felonies.

Back in 2017, a court granted Karrueche a protective order that lasted for five years due to threatening texts she received from Chris.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

For this ex couple, Coachella was actually the place which started it all for their relationship. 

Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Travis Scott, which has had its ups and downs, started in 2017 when they first crossed paths at a music festival, where he was one of the performers.

Exactly one year after, they joyfully welcomed their baby girl named Stormi into their lives. Their relationship faced its initial separation in the year 2019; however, they managed to reignite their love in May of 2021.

10 months following their reunion, the couple welcomed their child named Aire on February 6, 2022. She shared a heartwarming black-and-white picture of his small hand on Instagram to announce his arrival.

The last separation between them occurred in December, fueled by whispers about Travis being unfaithful to Kylie. While it’s been suggested that this wasn’t his first indiscretion, the rapper has never openly acknowledged any infidelity.

Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley

Another couple whose romance kicked off at Coachella was Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet. 

In 2011, the actor from American Horror Story and Glee started dating when they crossed paths at a festival. However, their relationship ended in January of 2012 for a while.

In April of that particular year, they reignited their relationship; however, by the following months, news broke out that they had permanently parted ways.

In May 2012, the pair, known for their shared enjoyment of Coachella festivals, parted ways for a second time, having dated almost continuously for close to two years.
