With the release date of Lil Wayne’s new album, “Tha Carter VI,” fast approaching, fans are getting a sneak peek of what to expect thanks to a cover story interview with Rolling Stone. During the chat, Lil Wayne revealed an impressive lineup of high-profile collaborators set to appear on his upcoming album.
During a listening session, Weezy unveiled his album lineup, which includes notable figures such as Wyclef Jean, Andrea Bocelli, Miley Cyrus, Elephant Man, Machine Gun Kelly, Bono, himself (Weezey), Ye, his son Kameron Carter, and others. However, it’s uncertain whether a track with an uncleared Billie Eilish sample will make the final cut. Regarding the album, Weezy mentioned, “This album is unique because I’ve been thinking about how I would sound on a collaboration with different artists.” Wyclef Jean shared his experience working on the project, stating, “Leaving Wyclef Jean and Lil Wayne in a studio for 24 hours can be dangerous. You never know what kind of music will emerge.” Later, Weezy added that they might end up recording eight songs together because Wyclef has a habit of taking one song and creating an entirely new track from it.
Back in February, I excitedly shared with all of you that my much-anticipated album, Tha Carter VI, would be dropping on June 6th. Keep your ears open as I’ll be sharing more updates about this masterpiece very soon!
