Zac Goldsmith’s £8m Country Manor Still Can’t Sell

As a die-hard enthusiast, I’d express it like this: When a past Conservative cabinet member acquires a property, one might anticipate an uptick in its worth. But that’s just the conventional wisdom… little do they know what I’ve come to learn!

However, these days, such ownership seems to reduce it.

It’s been reported that Zac Goldsmith has significantly reduced the price of his £8 million countryside mansion, a property he once shared with his former wife, Alice Rothschild, in the New Forest.

The figure has been reduced by a significant amount, from £14.97 million to £7.25 million. The earnings from the sale of the property with its 63-acre land will undeniably support the 50-year-old Old Etonian, currently in an engagement with fashion PR executive Hum Fleming, who is the great-niece of Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond.

At the moment, the duo reside jointly in Zac’s £5 million residence situated in Holland Park, West London, however, they aspire to establish a shared dwelling in Dorset, close to his youngest offspring.

Previously serving as the minister responsible for overseeing overseas territories, the Commonwealth, energy, climate, and the environment, this individual is blessed with three grown-up children from his first marriage to Sheherazade Bentley. Additionally, he has another three young ones, aged 12, 9, and 7, with Alice.

In March 2023, it was revealed that Lord Goldsmith parted ways with his second spouse, Alice Rothschild, aged 41, whom he wed in 2013.

At that point, their representative announced: ‘Alice and Zac chose to part ways after much consideration. Despite this change, they remain friendly and dedicated to nurturing their three kids in a harmonious and wholesome atmosphere.’

It was claimed by their friends that no other individuals were part of their relationship. However, prior to their marriage, their romantic involvement stirred gossip and tabloid headlines due to the fact that Sheherazade Bentley was yet to be divorced from Lord Goldsmith.

Lord Goldsmith was later linked to pop singer Ellie Goulding. 

He, along with his first spouse, Sheherazade (age 51), the offspring of actress Viviane Ventura and financier John Bentley, share custody of their three kids together.

Four months following the revelation of their split, it is said that Lord Goldsmith, a then-aspiring Member of Parliament, was advised by prominent Conservatives to sort out any personal relationship issues.

In 2006, his romantic involvement began with Alice, who is the daughter of banker Amschel Rothschild. It was said that he struggled significantly before deciding to part ways with his spouse, according to friends.

Lord Goldsmith is the child of business magnate Sir James, who famously remarked: “When a man marries his lover who was formerly his mistress, he leaves an open position.

At the age of twenty, Jimmy Goldsmith ran off with eighteen-year-old Maria Isabel Patino, an heiress to a tin mining empire, in January 1954. However, Maria sadly passed away in May of the same year during her pregnancy. Their daughter, named Isabel as well, lived on.

In 1963, he wed his second spouse, Ginette Lery who was his secretary at the time. They welcomed a son and a daughter together. However, their marriage ended in divorce, and in 1978, he tied the knot with Lady Annabel Birley. Together, they had a daughter named Jemima, as well as two sons named Zac and Ben.

However, the tale of Frankie Dettori, aged 54, has unfortunately taken a downward spiral. I am now able to reveal that, just three weeks following his declaration of bankruptcy due to an unresolved dispute with Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs, he finds himself embroiled in another tax-related conflict.

A recent report reveals that Frankie Dettori Limited, a company that went bankrupt in October, now owes Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) approximately £765,542. Unfortunately, the company has no remaining assets to settle this debt.

A particularly unhappy achievement, given that the jockey once amassed an £18million fortune.

 

She wedded Lord Colin Ivar Campbell, the younger sibling of the 12th Duke of Argyll, less than a year ago, leading some to contemplate her noble lineage.

However, it’s Lady Colin Campbell, aged 75, who is enjoying the final chuckle. It has been revealed that among her social circle, she is now associated with the Dukes of Norfolk and Richmond in public.

Her home in Sussex, Castle Goring, is part of a selective tour showcasing the most magnificent estates in the county, which also features Arundel Castle in Norfolk and Goodwood House in Richmond. Notable attractions include having lunch with Lady Colin, according to organizer Oliver Gerrish.
