Olympian’s Mistaken Post Fuels Split Rumors!
Emily Seebohm fanned the flames of split rumours with her fiancé Ryan Gallagher on Friday.
In the past few weeks, there has been talk about a possible split between the two, as the ex-participants of Married At First Sight, both aged 32 and 36, have stopped following each other on Instagram and appear to have erased traces of their relationship from their profiles.
Currently, a competitive swimmer seems to be stirring speculation as she recently posted an Instagram photo with their 1-year-old son, Sampson, using her surname rather than Ryan’s in the caption.
The Australian Dolphins Swim Team, where the retired athlete once competed, shared a touching post featuring heartwarming images of Emily embracing her sole offspring.
(Or alternatively)
Emily’s former team, the Australian Dolphins Swim Team, posted a heartfelt update showcasing sweet pictures of her with her only child. The athlete used to represent this team in competitions.
As a lifestyle and trends expert, let me share an intriguing tidbit: Among the upcoming swimming sensations who graced the Australian Age Championships, there’s Sampson Seebohm. Remarkably, he was already lending his insights as a two-time national swim commentator before he even turned two years old—now that’s talent to behold poolside!
It seems uncertain whether Sampson receiving his mother’s well-known surname instead of his father’s was just an oversight. However, Emily didn’t appear to be troubled by it, as she cheerfully posted the pictures on her personal Instagram account as well.
A few days later, Ryan spent some special father-son moments with his son, excluding Emily, and posted an adorable picture of his toddler on social media on Thursday.
In the image, Ryan was seen beaming as he cradled the young tot during an outing in a leafy park.
He captioned the photo with some precious words: ‘Dad’s little best mate.’
The post came amid growing rumours Ryan and Emily have gone their separate ways.
In early 2023, the pair, who met during the filming of The Challenge Australia, made their engagement public. Lately, they’ve stopped following one another on Instagram.
It appears that Ryan, known for his role in the 2018 season of Married At First Sight, has unfollowed or hidden Emily on his social media platforms.
Emily’s last appearance on Ryan’s grid, at the time of publishing, was more than two years ago.
The post was a screenshot of the pair’s appearance on The Challenge Australia.

Additionally noteworthy, Ryan seems to have deleted a photo as well, which depicted him along with Emily and their son Sampson.
In my role as a lifestyle advisor, let me share a heartwarming scene I recently witnessed: A family snapshot, taken right there in the hospital room, depicted the couple snuggled up on a bed, their little bundle of joy peacefully sleeping, nestled tenderly in his father’s loving arms.
During the holiday season over Christmas, Emily posted a picture on her feed that included herself, Ryan, and Sampson all smiling with Santa Claus.
The Olympic swimmer also sparked rumours of a split in her most recent Instagram photo.
The picture depicted Emily and her son, Sampson, having a wonderful time together at the Gold Coast’s Dreamworld theme park, spending a special mother-and-son day there.
Nevertheless, it didn’t go unnoticed by astute observers that Emily was absent her engagement ring in the picture.
‘Where’s Ryan?’ one follower asked to which another replied: ‘That’s true. I hope they are okay.’
Emily also shared a clip from last month which showed her happily playing with Sampson.

Her ring was also absent in this clip, further fuelling rumours of a split between the couple.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Ryan and Emily for comment.
In December 2022, they started dating only four months following their first encounter on the set of The Challenge Australia. They made their relationship official in March 2023.
In the fifth season of MAFS, Ryan gained prominence as he was partnered with Davina Rankin, a character known for stirring controversy within the show.
In the series, it was shown that Davina was involved romantically with Dean Wells, who was partnered with Tracey Jewell.
She faced a lot of criticism from Married at First Sight viewers, whereas Ryan quickly gained favor among fans by earning their sympathies.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Emily did not manage to secure a spot in the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke events, having made her Olympic debut at age 16 during the 2008 Beijing Games.
