Kevin Costner’s Daughter’s Shocking Midlife Crisis

41-year-old Kevin Costner’s seldom-seen elder daughter, Annie Cox, openly shared that she’s been grappling with certain midlife struggles.

And that inspired her to get a tattoo. 

In a post on Instagram, the charming brunette, currently living a life outside of Hollywood as a real estate agent in quaint Santa Barbara, shared her current situation.

The post was shared this week as she added stunning photos from her vacation in France.

‘Last year when I turned 40 I decided to go to Paris. I had never been,’ she began her post.

In truth, it seemed slightly out of place at the time. My spirits weren’t particularly high, and my confidence had waned due to the break I took over the past few years to focus on our children.

Since the year 2016, Annie has been wed to Dr. Danny Cox, who resides in California. Their first child, Cayden Wyatt Costner, entered the world on May 6, 2007, and their second child, Hayes Logan Costner, was born two years later.

Cox then explained more about her situation. 

She openly admitted that looking back, she was grappling with some personal struggles related to midlife, but she acknowledged that she required something more.

I’m grateful I listened to my instincts and decided to go on that journey, as it served as a rekindling flame, reminding me of my true identity.

Upon returning, I plunged right into my work, and the past year expanded dramatically for me. Events transpired exactly as they were meant to.

Today, I’m 41 years old, and I’ve never been more certain that life is unfolding exactly as it should. It seems serendipitous when your instincts lead you to Paris, where you can sip wine, admire art, and even get a tattoo. Yet, who am I to contest such an exciting journey?

Her mother is Kevin’s first wife Cindy Silva. 

Currently, Kevin, who is 70 years old, finds support from Silva, as he copes with the sorrow following the ending of his marriage to Christine Baumgartner last year.

‘He finds it remarkable how their painful separation has blossomed into such a lovely camaraderie. She stands by him, providing wise counsel whenever he needs it. He relies on her support quite frequently.’

It’s beneficial for them too, as they share a bond through their three kids – Lily, Joe, and Annie – that acts almost like a strong connecting force in their platonic friendship.

They frequently gather on their children’s birthday celebrations, enjoying quality moments with each other. The source mentioned that it’s always pleasant and cordial between them.

Several years ago Kevin expressed he ‘still has love for Cindy’ as he called her a ‘real lady.’ 

1975 saw them crossing paths as students at California State University, Fullerton. They exchanged vows in 1978, but Cindy initiated the separation process in November 1994, marking the end of their 16-year union.

In 1994, Silva, then aged 68, received approximately $80 million as part of their divorce settlement.

Cindy, who once graced the red carpets alongside Kevin and starred in his hit movie “Dances With Wolves,” has moved away from the limelight now. She currently resides in peaceful Santa Barbara, California with her long-term businessman spouse, Larry Ameen, having been married for over two decades.

Larry held an executive position within the denim fashion sector, working with well-known brands like Jordache Jeans and Pepe Jeans. Subsequently, he assumed the role of CEO at Dogwood Investments Inc.

She also goes by the name Cindy Antonucci-Ameen. 

After parting ways with Christine, it appears that Kevin has been romantically connected to Jewel, Sharon Stone, and Jennifer Lopez; however, no substantial proof suggests a romantic relationship with any of them.

In an interview with the Seattle Times, the actor who played The Bodyguard admitted that he was accountable for the breakdown of his marriage to Cindy, without providing specifics.

‘Coincidentally, a number of things occurred simultaneously. He acknowledged that his marital failure was painful for certain individuals and admitted that the breakdown of his marriage was largely due to his own actions.’

He was also linked to Playboy model Angie Everheart and the daughter of casino magnate Steve Wynn.

Regrettably, my partner’s actions during this time did little to alleviate the situation; instead, they caused additional pain. Costner further shared his deep affection for his first wife, saying, “For the record, despite all the hardships, Cindy has always remained the genuine lady I believed her to be. My feelings for Cindy remain unchanged.

Back in the day, I was all set and eagerly waiting for the chance to be on the set of Costner’s upcoming romantic comedy, Tin Cup. Little did I know that fate had something extraordinary in store for me there – meeting the love of my life! It turned out to be his second wife, a stunning 21-year-old beauty by the name of Baumgartner. What a movie experience that was!

Silva stood by Costner during his tough acting days, even taking up unconventional roles like portraying Snow White at Disneyland to make ends meet.

In a friendly manner, we’ve settled all matters concerning our kids and finances, resulting in a complete agreement on our marriage terms.

The statement from the couple, made in 1994, requests for the opportunity to handle a particularly difficult phase of their personal life quietly and privately.

Costner had some doubts about wanting additional children, which is why their relationship progressed slowly. In fact, they briefly separated before getting engaged, due to this indecision.

Instead of tying the knot with Christine, my fear held me back. She yearned for a child, yet I was apprehensive about not being able to fulfill the role as an adequate parent.

As I opened my eyes one morning, a question crossed my mind: ‘Will I miss out on a remarkable partnership that spans a lifetime because I’m apprehensive about embracing parenthood?’ It was that moment that tipped the scale for me. 2022 saw Radar Online publishing a report stating that Costner’s wife presented him with a tough choice: she requested that he leave his successful series Yellowstone, as he was frequently absent from home.
