Doechii Envisions “Anxiety” in Captivating, Cinematic Music Video

With the song still dominating music charts, Doechii unveils the official video for “Anxiety.” Once again, the Swamp Princess’ creativity shines through in this captivating visual production.

In collaboration with director James Mackel, Doechii worked tirelessly on the visually striking video for “Anxiety”. Their aim was to make a significant impact with this track that samples “Somebody That I Used To Know”, marking her first single to reach the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100.

The scene begins with a tribute to Doechii’s “COVEN MUSIC SESSION,” where she first revealed “Anxiety” back in May 2020. This reminiscent piece soon turned into one of her most favored tracks within the “COVEN MUSIC” collection.

In an enchanting music video, I find myself lounging on my bed, right beneath the very tapestry that served as a backdrop in her original “COVEN MUSIC SESSION” visual, adorning the walls of my grand mansion. Yet, this opulent abode soon transforms into a setting where tension and mysterious crimes unfold, sending chills down my spine.

Wearing a white MIU MIU blouse, Doechii is escorted from her bedroom into her living room. Not long after, a group of burglars force their way in through the windows while a meal is being served at the dining table. Meanwhile, two individuals resembling characters from “Shining” sit on the couch, exchanging looks. Simultaneously, a fire erupts in the kitchen.

In the artwork for their song “Somebody That I Used to Know,” Gotye and Kimbra make a surprise appearance alongside unexpected elements like an elephant, a Doberman Pinscher, and even a flash mob, all contributing to the ongoing chaos.
