Goldie Lookin Chain’s Epic Comeback Tour: Controversial Apology to Beckhams 20 Years On!

A well-known band from the 2000s era is planning a large-scale concert tour, happening 20 years after they staged a contentious performance which necessitated an apology towards the Beckham family.

The well-known Welsh humor group, Goldie Lookin Chain (GLC), caused a sensation in the hip hop world back in 2000 and is now preparing for a tour across the United Kingdom titled “Still As Safe As Ever.

Even though the band hasn’t made it onto the charts since 2005, their shows are selling out quickly, with tickets being offered at a low price of around £26.20 each.

The tour is marketed as being suitable for individuals aged 18 and above due to the abundance of humorous double entendres, suggestive themes, and explicit language featured in many of their most popular songs.

On September 5, they’ll kick off their tour at Manchester Academy, marking the beginning of their tour, and they’ll wrap it up on November 29 at Blackpool Bootleg Social.

On Instagram, the seven-member team announced their upcoming “large-scale tour” by sharing a video and listing the 17 dates of the tour.

In the video, they mentioned that the Goldie Lookin Chain (GLC) will embark on a global tour of epic proportions in the year 2025.

Absolutely! We’re embarking on a large-scale tour across the United Kingdom, taking us to some of the finest locations. You already know this, GLC. Let’s spread the word!

The team comprises individuals such as Rhys (GLC), Graham Bear, Billy Webb, Tom Clugston, John Rutledge, Adam Hussain, Mike Balls, Mystikal, and 2Hats.

Their biggest hit was Guns Don’t Kill People Rappers Do, which peaked at no 3 UK charts.

Moreover, though they’ve enjoyed some victories with certain tracks, it was the controversial song “Your Missus Is a Nutter” from their album titled “Safe as Fk” that led to trouble for them.

2005 saw the group being invited by the Welsh Football Association (FAW) to put on a show prior to a crucial World Cup qualifier between Wales and England.

However, while performing their humorous chart-topper, they chose to dedicate it to David Beckham’s spouse, Victoria.

The FAW expressed shock, admitting there was a significant lack of respect shown, and they did not view the actions as a mere jest or prank.

As a lifestyle connoisseur speaking here, let me take a moment to express my sincere regret publicly. To Mr. David Beckham and the esteemed English Football Association, I wholeheartedly apologize on behalf of the Welsh Football Association. This situation is one we are taking extremely seriously, handling it with utmost importance and care.

People might argue it was just a jest, and perhaps we’re overly sensitive. However, we perceive it differently. It seemed to involve a fundamental disregard for decency in this instance.

As a lifestyle expert, I must admit that the booing of the English national anthem is beyond my control. However, I strongly encourage and appeal to Welsh supporters to show respect for this cherished tradition, fostering unity and sportsmanship in our shared passion for football.

However, we can definitely take measures to prevent such unnecessary distractions during games, similar to what David Beckham encountered prior to his matches.

In reply, they justified their actions, stating that they were misconstrued and what they did was a gesture of goodwill or camaraderie.

In that moment, I took pride in dedicating our performance to the Beckhams, not just as a gesture of friendship and respect, but as someone who deeply admires them.

We’re considering dedicating our next song to Geri Halliwell, and we don’t want this decision to spark an unexpected backlash or be misunderstood.

The song “Your Misses Is A Nutter” achieved popularity, reaching number 14 on the UK charts and staying there for six consecutive weeks.

As part of their nationwide concert tour, the group will additionally stop by cities like Nottingham, Newcastle, Hull, Oxford, and Southampton.

The “Safe As Fk” album encompasses tracks such as “Bad Boy Limp,” “Charmschool,” “Dog,” “HRT,” and “Monkey Love.”
