The 42-year-old actress from Coronation Street looked fantastic in a bold swimsuit, posing for a rare picture with her muscular husband, Tom Pitfield, who went shirtless for the shot.

The couple seemed deeply in love and very happy together as they relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine on their beach vacation.

Catherine and her husband Tom, a personal trainer, enjoyed some family time with their two children: ten-year-old Alfie and four-year-old Iris.

The actress, known for her role on the popular TV show, happily spent time with her family sightseeing before heading back to set to continue filming.

Catherine came back to the show in October 2025, playing Eva Price again after a gap of eight years.

The actress recently shared that those in charge of ‘Corrie’ are actively trying to boost ratings by bringing back the kinds of stories that made the show popular in the past.

She explained that Coronation Street has a long history of successful stories driven by compelling characters, particularly strong female leads, and that viewers clearly enjoy them. She believes Kate’s storyline is continuing that tradition.

Catherine thought about famous Rovers Return landladies from the past, like Bet Lynch and Vera Duckworth, as she prepared to take on the role herself.

Everyone agrees the show needs to stay current, but also recapture what made it popular in the past. People keep saying they want that classic, character-driven feel, and I think the show is really delivering on that now.

She recently shared that a director’s hurtful comment about her weight during an audition years ago continues to bother her.

Catherine remembered a hurtful comment that bothered her for a long time, as she shared on the AgeLess podcast.

She recalled an audition where the director told her she was funny and naturally suited to play comedic character roles. While she enjoyed comedy, she also dreamed of playing leading roles, and the director’s comment about always being ‘the fat funny one’ stuck with her.

The popular English actress previously lost a significant amount of weight – eight stone – by committing to a healthier lifestyle and exercise plan.

She recently spoke honestly about the challenges of living up to beauty standards, sharing that her priority is to be healthy and strong so she can be there for her children for a long time.

She recalled feeling pressure to conform to a specific beauty standard when she was younger, like many actresses, which led her to try extreme dieting. She shared this with Fabulous magazine.

Now that I’ve gained some experience and maturity, I understand what my body requires and treat it with much more respect than I used to.
