On the other hand, the significant events of “Thanksgiving (Canada)” take place in the wilderness. After enduring weeks of captivity, Coach Ben meets his demise at the hands of Natalie, much to everyone’s dismay. They believe that Ben was crucial for their return, and as a result, they compel Natalie to prepare their mentor for a grisly feast.

What set this occurrence apart from past ones was their choice to act when they weren’t in a state of starvation or desperation to live. The startling scene where the research team stumbled upon their campsite and discovered Ben’s head made this episode particularly outstanding among all others.

Episode 10

Scenes that have been enigmas ever since Yellowjackets debuted, are now becoming clearer. When the creatures they consume meet their demise (or more accurately, are contaminated), a search ensues, unveiling that Mari is the “Pit Girl” from the initial scene and Shauna is the elusive Antler Queen portrayed in the pilot episode. Furthermore, the grown-up cast members eventually determine the culprit behind Lottie’s murder.

Learning that Shauna’s daughter was the one who killed Lottie came as something unexpected, yet it also seemed to validate the suspicions of many viewers about Callie resembling her mother in some ways. The final scene, where Nat outwitted Shauna to ascend a mountain and signal for assistance, could well be the most captivating season finale up till now. Despite some fans feeling let down by Season 3, this ending not only provided some answers but also planted seeds of more mystery to maintain viewer engagement.

Episode 7

In the flashback sequence, “Croak” played a crucial role as it revolved around scientists Edwin and Hannah, accompanied by their guide Kodi. Their predicament began when they found themselves lost in the wilderness due to Edwin’s mistrust of Kodi. This unfortunate circumstance led them to stumble upon the Yellowjackets camp during a feast hosted by Ben Scott. Although these people could have potentially aided them, an unexpected event unfolded as Lottie brutally killed Edwin. This act of violence forced the other girls into a chase where they eventually captured Hannah and Kodi.

In my perspective as a movie reviewer, this installment served as an eye-opener, hinting at the fact that not all teenagers were prepared for salvation. Their immersion in their novel lifestyle had grown so profound that they overlooked the danger signs. What truly caught my attention was the disclosure that the “haunting” sounds the girls perceived as wilderness were actually the unique croaks of the frogs which Edwin and Hannah were meticulously studying. This revelation not only ratcheted up the tension for the surviving adolescents, but it also unequivocally confirmed that the “supernatural” influence of the wilderness was merely a figment of the Yellowjackets’ collective imagination, serving as a convenient justification for their actions.
