Kate and Rio Ferdinand finally return to war-torn Dubai after travelling to the Maldives, London and Portugal for a ‘nervous system reset’ amid Iranian drone attacks

Kate and Rio Ferdinand are heading back to their Dubai home after temporarily leaving due to the recent conflict in the Middle East. They had been away to focus on their well-being and de-stress.

After Iranian drone attacks started in the UAE and they had to hide in their basement, the couple left the city last month.

They started their break with a trip to their Portuguese holiday home. After returning to London for work and family obligations, they then flew to the Maldives for some rest and relaxation.

The couple is back home after a vacation to the Maldives, which Kate shared on Instagram helped her relax and recharge.

She recently posted a collection of photos, including one of herself in a bright yellow bikini that highlighted her physique.

Kate looked incredible in a recent photo, showcasing her fit body while relaxing on a beach in a bikini.

Oh my gosh, Kate just posted the cutest pictures! It’s the kids splashing around and playing football, and it totally reminded me of Prince William when he was little! They’re already following in their dad’s footsteps, it’s just the sweetest thing ever! I can’t even handle the adorable overload!

Kate and Rio also posed for a loved-up snap together on the beach as the sun set behind them.

Kate previously shared with fans that she and her daughter, Tia, age 14, were planning to overcome their fears by swimming with sharks.

Kate shared a video on Instagram of her and Tia watching ocean predators, and jokingly asked her followers if they thought the two of them were brave enough to go in the water.

It turns out the duo were, as they shared eye-grabbing footage of them under the clear blue water.

Both women could be seen swimming close to each other as the intrigued sharks swam around them.

Kate captioned the clip: ‘We done it! Tia was much braver than me, I was terrified.’

Kate and Rio are parents to two children: five-year-old Cree and two-year-old Shae. Kate is also a stepmother to Rio’s three children: Lorenz, 19, Tate, 17, and Tia, 14. Rio’s first wife, Rebecca Ellison, sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2009 at the age of 34.

The Daily Mail reported that the couple had left Dubai, which was experiencing conflict, and were now at their vacation home in Portugal.

Kate and Rio have left their multi-million pound home in Dubai following attacks by Iranian drones and missiles. The couple previously lived in the £6.5 million property, which is located in the affected area.

Okay, so last month I noticed Rio shared a really summery photo online. He was enjoying a Super Bock beer – a classic Portuguese brew – out on a beautiful terrace, and let’s just say he wasn’t wearing a shirt! It just screamed relaxed vacation vibes, and honestly, who doesn’t want that?

He wrote: ‘That feeling when Liverpool + Chelsea drop points in the race for the top 4’.

Oh my gosh, you guys, the absolute legend himself just posted! He finished his message with two clinking beer glass emojis – can you even?! – and then just said ‘Happy Saturday people!’ It’s the little things, honestly, and it totally made my day. I’m obsessed!

The star snapped the selfie at his villa in the Algarve, close to Quinta do Lago. He uses the villa to host summer football camps, and he and Kate vacationed there with their children last summer.

The couple relocated to Dubai with their blended family: his daughter, Tia, and their two children, Cree and Shae.

Rio Ferdinand’s two eldest sons, Lorenz and Tate, stayed in the UK after he left his job as a commentator for TNT last year.

Soon after moving, Kate shared that she was homesick, writing, ‘I’m having a good time, but I really miss the UK.’

I’m finding it hard being away from my older sons, and I’m really feeling that loss. While I know moving was the best choice for my younger children and our family is happy here, the older boys are pursuing their dreams in football, which is difficult.

It seems like they’re pursuing their own path, and that’s their choice. However, it’s difficult for us because we’re a close-knit family who have always been there for each other, and this change is a big adjustment for everyone.

Earlier this month, she talked about what it’s like living in Dubai during Ramadan. She explained that her children have shorter school days – they start at 8:45 AM and are picked up at 1:00 PM, essentially attending school for only half the day.

I find the constant change really refreshing and surprisingly peaceful. Though, things definitely get more hectic when the kids return after lunch – it’s a whole new experience for me, something I haven’t dealt with before.

Living in a place with diverse religions and cultures is a unique experience. You really broaden your horizons and learn a lot from being around so many different perspectives.

I love that my children are experiencing things here that they would only learn about in school back home. It’s a much more immersive and enriching experience for them.
