Kyedae hints at quitting streaming: “I’m kind of done with streaming”

As a dedicated fan, I’ve noticed a playful hint from Kyedae about potentially stopping her streaming sessions, which has ignited discussions about whether her intense VALORANT competition could be the cause.

Approximately a month since her last live broadcast, Kyedae Alisha Shymko, known as Kyedae, resumed her Twitch sessions, engaging in VALORANT matches with her boyfriend and ex-professional player, Tyson Ngo, or “TenZ”. Throughout the stream, she offered insights into her experiences within the competitive gaming world. However, she also disclosed some poignant news to her audience: Kyedae is considering leaving streaming completely.

“One foot is out the door.”

At the start of her livestream, Kyedae clarified that this wasn’t a return after a 24-day break from Twitch broadcasting. She asked her viewers to adjust their expectations as she’d be absent for at least another month. The chat began speculating if Kyedae might stop streaming entirely. With a hint of humor, she replied, “Well, one foot is sort of hanging out the door.

As a dedicated admirer, I’ve noticed that Kyedae hasn’t delved deeply into the reasons behind her decision to stop streaming, but it seems plausible to many of us that her entry into the competitive scene might be the driving force. Towards the end of her stream, she confessed her feelings by saying, “It’s time for me to move on, folks,” which effectively translates to “Goodbye, guys.

Kyedae’s competitive experience

Kyedae is currently representing Team Teevee in the Game Changers 2025 North America: Stage 1 tournament. She describes her experience as very rewarding and playing VALORANT off-stream has positively impacted her mental wellbeing. As she put it, “I’ve seen significant improvement across multiple areas, including my communication skills and positioning, but I still have room to enhance my movement.” In summary, she considers herself a much better player overall now.

Kyedae leaving streaming doesn’t mean the end of the world for fans who enjoy her content. You’ll still get to watch her compete in the professional scene. If you’re intrigued about Kyedae’s team and performance, take a look at this scrim video that even Tenz took part in. We’re thrilled to see what this new phase of her journey brings!
