Obsessed with Silver Surfer & WandaVision Easter Egg in Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer
Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated movies of 2025 is Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, offering Marvel fans an unprecedented and distinct perspective within the MCU. (Although ‘unique’ might seem unusual given that this is the fourth FF film in the last two decades.) Now, moviegoers everywhere are excitedly diving into our longest sneak peek yet of the upcoming live-action journey, which was initially unveiled for CinemaCon attendees earlier this month. Take a look!
The fresh trailer for the movie Fantastic Four carries over the enjoyable elements reminiscent of the first glimpse at its footage, along with all other promotional content that hints at its alternate timeline. It also introduces numerous intriguing moments to keep us engaged until its release in theaters. Let’s dive right in!

Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer Looks Like An Evil Academy Award, But In A Good Way?
Julia Garner demonstrates exceptional discernment in her film choices, generally steering clear of projects that didn’t meet expectations or were poorly received. Therefore, it’s rather surprising that she agreed to star in this movie. Even though some may find her portrayal of the Silver Surfer less than appealing, I find myself intrigued by it in an unusual way.
In a way that reminds me of Alex Mack from “The Secret World of Alex Mack” and her silver-hued liquid form, my appearance seems quite similar. It’s also strikingly reminiscent of prestigious awards such as Oscars and Emmys. Who knows, maybe one day there will be an MCU Awards, and the trophy could even be designed to resemble this film’s villain!

Mr. Fantastic Gets All Stretchy With It
After witnessing Joseph Quinn transform into Johnny Storm (a.k.a. The Human Torch) and observing Ben Grimm’s scenes, I’m eagerly awaiting Pedro Pascal’s portrayal of Reed Richards’ stretching abilities in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“. I’m hoping for a generous serving of quirky humor that ties into his elastic body parts, all while adhering to the PG-13 rating.
As a devoted cinephile, let me express my excitement over this trailer, even though it doesn’t fully display his incredible moves. However, the brief glimpse of him spreading out his limbs mid-fall is simply mind-blowing! It’s not every day you see a human being stretching out like an aircraft of colossal size, such as a 747! That’s anything but ordinary, and I can’t wait to witness more of it on the big screen.

Galactus’ Bigass Foot Is As Much Of A Threat As Anything
Over the past 15 years or more, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has introduced an array of remarkable villains. While I often find the ones with more human-like qualities to be the most impactful, such as Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk and Kathryn Hahn’s captivating Agatha (though she isn’t always a villain), it’s intriguing to ponder over a villain who is so colossal that they could potentially be the origin of the nursery rhyme “The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.
In the scenario of Galactus, a formidable foe from the Fantastic Four’s comic book world, an entire apartment complex with ground-level businesses could potentially be swallowed by one of his gigantic boots. It makes me ponder about the potential loss of life in this movie, considering those who might be tragically crushed to a pulp.
We haven’t managed to obtain a full-body image of the cosmic danger yet, possibly due to the lack of cameras large enough to capture it entirely. However, director Matt Shakman has discussed filming Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and they made an effort to minimize motion-capture performances. Let’s bring out all the miniatures!
Fans React To The Fantastic Four Trailer: The Positive Takes
It’s not surprising that social media is buzzing with enthusiastic responses to the first complete trailer for the upcoming MCU adventure. Although there are certainly some critics, the general sentiment appears to be positive. This is particularly true when comparing this current team to the one portrayed in the 2005 film or the one proposed by Josh Trank’s reboot.
As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’ve stumbled upon an abundance of vibrant expressions such as “Let’s Go!” and creative uses of flame emojis. However, here’s a taste of the collective positive energy that’s circulating on the digital landscape.

A WandaVision Easter Egg! Probably!

In the broad view of New York City’s bustling streets and vibrant nightlife during the trailer, it’s hard not to notice the unique cars passing by. However, the stores along the street are where Marvel enthusiasts should really keep their eyes peeled, as there’s a television appliance store that appears to be a nod to the setting of WandaVision.
It’s quite plausible that this might not be a deliberate Marvel Cinematic Universe Easter egg, but I find it hard to believe anyone could persuade me it was just a coincidence. There must have been someone who intentionally included and placed that detail within the combined shot.
So, what exactly is this sign trying to tell us? Given its resemblance to ‘WandaVision,’ it seems the connection might be limited to the show’s nod to TV sitcom history. It’s quite peculiar for a New Jersey repair shop brand to appear in the heart of NYC. Perhaps someone magically placed that building there, rather than through regular construction.
It’s intriguing to consider if there might be some enigmatic magical forces at play within this universe, unlike the characters we’re familiar with such as Wanda Maximoff or Agatha Harkness. Perhaps this reality has a unique twist where magic is replaced by scientific phenomena so profound that it serves the same purpose?
