Haley Joel Osment arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at popular ski resort
Actor Haley Joel Osment’s latest visit to a Californian ski resort wasn’t just about snowy hills; he also encountered the authorities and ended up being arrested.
37-year-old actor known for his roles in “Blink Twice” and “The Sixth Sense” was apprehended on April 8 for alleged public intoxication and undisclosed controlled substance possession, as reported by both People and TMZ in Mammoth Lakes.
Sergeant Jason Heilman from the Mammoth Lakes Police Department told People that Haley Joel Osment, the actor known for his role in “Young Sheldon” and Emily Osment’s brother, was taken into custody but has since been released. The authorities received a report about an individual who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol at Mammoth Mountain ski resort, according to TMZ, which initially reported the arrest on Wednesday. It appears that ski patrollers were present with Osment when the police arrived at the resort, as stated by TMZ.

As a devoted cinephile, I learned that Eric Mabius, famously recognized for his role in ‘Ugly Betty,’ was taken into custody on two minor offenses last Thursday: battery and obstructing a peace officer without resorting to violence.
On Thursday, a spokesperson for the Mammoth Lakes Police Department didn’t promptly reply to The Times’ inquiry seeking verification. Similarly, The Times hasn’t received an immediate response from representatives of Osment.
This version maintains the original’s clarity and brevity while using more colloquial language to make it easier for readers to understand.
Back in 2006, I found myself standing on the wrong side of the law when I was charged with a misdemeanor for drunk driving following an unfortunate car accident in La Cañada Flintridge. Fast-forward to more than a decade later, and I once again made headlines in 2018 due to an incident at the Las Vegas airport involving American Airlines staff. It was reported that I made some heated statements, causing a call to the police for an “unruly passenger.” Fortunately, they didn’t manage to track me down, as I am best recognized for my captivating role in M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Sixth Sense” and later singing in the hit song “Poker Face.”
This year, Emily Osment was one of many Los Angeles residents whose homes were destroyed by the destructive wildfires that swept through certain areas of Southern California in January. In a post on her Instagram account from January, she revealed that her parents too had lost their home in the Eaton fire.
In the midst of the January blaze, Haley Joel Osment shared on an Instagram post that has since expired: “Every time I drove home, my heart would swell with joy – it was such a unique place where I felt at home. Our forest, our mountains, and our houses… all reduced to nothing.
