Gene Hackman’s Wife: Chilling Final Video Revealed!

Footage from a surveillance camera has been released, showing Betsy Arakawa, Gene Hackman’s wife, in her last public appearances, which took place only a few weeks prior to the time when their mummified remains were found in their New Mexico residence.

95-year-old Hackman passed away due to heart disease and issues related to Alzheimer’s, whereas 65-year-old Arakawa lost her life to a severe and uncommon disease called hantavirus, which is transmitted by rodents.

Hackman, who was 95 years old, died from heart disease and Alzheimer’s complications, whereas the 65-year-old Arakawa passed away due to a rare and deadly hantavirus infection, which is carried by rodents.

Officials suspect that Arakawa passed away on February 12, while Hackman followed around six days after. However, it wasn’t until several weeks later that their remains were found.

On a surveillance clip shared by New Mexico officials on Tuesday, it’s clear that Arakawa was utilizing the self-service checkout at a Sprouts Farmers Market in Santa Fe around 4 pm on February 11, appearing to be peaceful and undisturbed.

Just minutes later, she appears on footage at a nearby Shine Pet Food store.

As an ardent admirer, I found myself standing there, clad in denim blues, a somber coat draped over me, a cozy scarf wrapped around my neck, and a sleek black mask concealing my identity. The renowned maestro of classical piano, seemingly solitary, graced the stage without a hint of turmoil or unconventional demeanor.

In his final years, it was primarily Arakawa who took care of the ailing Oscar winner, as his health deteriorated significantly during that time.

The authorities suspect that the couple passed away several days apart, with experts suggesting that Hackman’s advanced stage of Alzheimer’s might have prevented him from understanding that his wife was no longer alive.

The video is being published following the disclosure of bodycam footage and photos by the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department, which showed the crate where Hackman’s pet dog perished. In simpler terms, the video was released after the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department shared footage and images that pointed to the crate where Hackman’s dog died.

In a tragic turn of events, the kelpie mix dog named Zinna perished from hunger and thirst as she was confined within her cage, unattended, following the deaths of her owners, an actor and his spouse, at their house in Santa Fe during February.

For two heartbreaking weeks, the couple unbeknownst to anyone, stayed within their grand $4 million home, as poor Zinna was stuck inside her cage.

After a trip to the vet, the dog was put into its cage. It’s thought that the dog became trapped there upon Arakawa’s passing.

The crate was placed near the bathroom, just a few steps away from where Arakawa’s body was discovered amidst heaps of trash and disorder.

One online viewer wrote: ‘I feel so bad for the dog :(.’

One person remarked, “It’s heartbreaking to imagine the fate of the poor dog confined in a crate, suffering a prolonged demise. I can only imagine how troubling it must have been for the other dogs as they watched their companion struggling to escape.

And a third said simply: ‘Poor dogs.’

On the cage sat a red coverlet, along with piles of paper and a ring of bedding surrounding it.

In the disorganized mess that was their unsanitary dwelling, the incident served as one of numerous red flags, causing people to wonder if Arakawa was truly capable of singlehandedly caring for Hackman.

As an ardent devotee, I can’t help but feel a sense of intrigue when reflecting upon the enigmatic pair whose lives were shrouded in mystery. On a chilly day in late February, their long-lost remains, preserved like ancient relics, were unearthed by a vigilant guard.

It became clear later on that Arakawa passed away due to Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, a relatively uncommon disease transmitted through rodent feces and urine, approximately on February 12th.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must share a poignant moment with you all – the renowned psychologist, Dr. David Hackman, passed away a few short days ago on February 18th. His demise was due to severe complications from heart disease, compounded by the challenges posed by Alzheimer’s and kidney diseases.

Law enforcement officers, after searching the house following a grim find, released body camera recordings that depicted the distraught other dog keeping vigil beside Betsy’s motionless body, which was surrounded by disarray.

The police, upon investigating further after an awful discovery, made public their bodycam videos showing the grieving dog standing guard near Betsy’s inert form, surrounded by mess.

Decades-old clothing takes up space in several rooms of the grand Santa Fe house, while various objects such as dog beds, prescription pill containers, and discarded bedding can be found scattered on the floors.

The wardrobe brims with heaps of shirts, jeans, dresses, and shoe boxes, while treasured items tower high, on the verge of tipping over.)

Scattered throughout the home were a collection of poignant letters, exchanged between Betsy and Gene, expressing their unwavering love for each other right up until the very end.

Images of their cherished German Shepherds are found on tables and cabinets too, showcasing joyful photos of the pair alongside their elderly pets, going as far back as several years.

The pair had three dogs at the time of their deaths, including 12-year-old Zinna.

After their survival, the two canines – Bear, a German Shepherd, and Nikita, a mix of Akita and German Shepherd – were later given new homes.

On Tuesday, police made available for public viewing the body camera footage and other documents pertaining to their probe into the mysterious demise of the secluded couple.

Originally under seal due to a temporary court injunction to safeguard the Hackman family’s private information, these documents were made available for public viewing following a ruling that they primarily constitute public records.

It has been disclosed by the New Mexico Department of Public Health that an inspection uncovered the fact that Arakawa’s home served as a nesting site for rats, which transmitted the hantavirus and ultimately led to his death.
