Prince Harry’s Charity in Crisis: Another Top Trustee Quits Amid Scandal

She went on to express: “Imagine the impact such an attack has had on me, the 540 individuals in the Sentebale organizations, and their families?

Indeed, my diligence led me to verify that one of the recent appointees to Sentebale’s board, effective from March 25, has subsequently chosen to step down.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share the intriguing detail that even though the investigation by The Charity Commission is ongoing with Sentebale, Margaret Ikpoh remains listed as a trustee on their website. This remarkable woman, who exudes passion for advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion, is also identified as an engaging educator and speaker within Sentebale’s own circles.

But, in a statement, Sentebale tells me that Dr Ikpoh has indeed called it a day.

In light of the fact that it’s ‘a challenging moment for someone to start with the organization’, it is stated that Dr Ikpoh has ‘decided to resign out of concern for her family and other obligations’, which Sentebale acknowledges, appreciates, and stands by, furthermore expressing: ‘We highly value her long-term interest in Sentebale and are eager to maintain our connection’.

Bust! Aspinall’s casinos enter administration 

Is it possible that John Aspinall is turning over in his resting place? The casino magnate, who passed away in 2000, now resides in the lime avenue at Howletts – one of two trophy estates he obtained in Kent – surrounded by his daughter Mameena and one of his cherished gorillas.

63 years after establishing the Clermont Club, a place where Aspinall stated that ‘gentlemen could squander themselves just as elegantly and fatally as their ancestors did 300 years ago’, his once prosperous empire has collapsed. The Aspers Group, named for Aspinall and commonly known as ‘Aspers’, has been placed under administration.

The business was founded by Damian, son of Aspinall, following the sale of his father’s final casino in 2009. It was envisioned as an extension of his father’s legacy, but unfortunately, the outcome fell far short of expectations. The magnitude of the failure is quite astonishing. Aspinall senior had established his Clermont Club in Mayfair, but Damian ventured into Milton Keynes and Stratford, east London, where he opened the biggest casino in the nation, now under new management.

The other venue is now closed – two years after Damian, 64, stepped down from the board.
